they didnt actually tell me how long it would take they told me last week they had sent it and im just waiting now
Why does it take a month for the replacement? it doesn't take 2 weeks to go back and forth to Hong Kong.
YellowJoshua has sent his back and Hot Toys said it'll take a month before he gets it back. Well the replacement body.
Mailing alone can take up to a couple of weeks. But if they're saying once it's received it'll take a month to ship out, likely it's just more of a BS detourant to discourage people wanting replacements.
There's another thing thats stingy. I remember when Eddie started the process of getting his replaced. Hot Toys would only replace 1 at a time.
Thats twice the amount of shipping fees because Hot Toys will only do 1 at a time.
It's so much easier to put 2 in the box and a one off payment sent off.
You really think a month wait is going to turn a lot of people away from pursuing a replacement? Seems silly to me to rather have a defective figure than deal with not having one for a month to get a good one. Mine was out of my hands almost 2 months.

We're talking about impatient TDK fans here.
Most people get their panties in a bunch when there's a 2-week delay in release.
I guess, I just can't comprehend it, I can't imagine ever being so clingy to a collectible that despite being broken or defective, I'd rather keep it in that state than spend a small period of time without it to get a fixed one.

Thats my issue. Not parting with it. It getting lost like they done so well to Rory that eventually turned up.
Hot Toys gave him the delivery address and he asked to clarify. They said yes and Hot Toys still f*c*3d it up!
I guess it comes down to how you feel towards the defect. Me, I'd have probably ended up storing the figure away and maybe sticking parts on the v1 and writing it off as a wasted $200 if I couldn't get it replaced, so any risk in the gamble of pursuing a replacement was worth it my book, waiting, challenges, I'd rather end up with a figure I can enjoy than a bin filler.
I agree, if HT takes on the Keaton Batmans or just makes stuff for the next Nolan film, I'll have a hard time passing it up because I really like Batman, but I'll probably start excercising patience. I've never seen an HT figure where over the various shipments, some major flaw was fixed but those in the earlier shipments didn't have an easy time getting their issues resolved, but after how this all went down, I'll play it safe.
I think they'll probably do the Keaton Bats out of the same material they did the previous 2 TDK bats, OG and new costume. His suit wasn't nearly as complex as the TDK suit. So fortunately, there shouldn't be any leaking issues.
Wait.. there's people who are passing up the replacement to keep the defective version!? Or is that just speculation? That's crazy if it's true.

It's a varying issue, some figures are affected much worse than others.
