Best bet, start with your dealer and if that doesn't pan out, try HT direct, I'd say always best to start by talking to your dealer.

yeah, that would be my advice too. action-hq are pretty big. they should be able to sort something for you. if not, email HT. i find that if i word things strongly, and then post something on their FB page about poor customer service if they don't respond for a couple weeks, i get a response.

seriously though, if they make an issue out of replacing 2 bodies rather than just one, it's just dumb.

I don't know what to do. Contact my dealer, ActionHQ.com because it's two figures or contact Hot Toys directly. From all the iffy things I've read with people and two figures directly through Hot Toys.

Well I bought mine online from an ebay seller. Hot Toys CS replaced mine for me, I just sent a copy of the paypal receipt.

Maybe try direct first and if you don't get a good response take a second approach through your dealer?

quick question for everyone who has received the new body (i.e. hard abs replacement). have they also put in the plastic divider between the body and armour too?

i received my bodies today. and i just need to make sure. they look odd to me. but i'll clarify once i get some input on this.

Yes, mine came with the new stomach part of the shirt and the thin sheet between the shirt and the pants.

thanks sean. i wanted to make sure i didn't get one of the intermediate solution ones. i have no leaks out of the box, and the abs seem to be a hard plastic. one of my replacement bodies however seems like it wasn't put together with much care as the top half is slightly twisted to one side. not a major issue, it's mainly covered up once you put the belt on - it won't bother me.

the plastic divider is so rigid, it's hard to get much lateral movement anymore. i might just be imagining this, but it seems that before you were able to bend him at the waist a tiny bit more too. only a tiny bit. obviously, the plastic sheet will stop that entirely.

the other MAJOR thing is that the plastic divider makes batman look like a fatty again. i can't complain. i received 2 replacement bodies, i finally have a DX2 batman figure i don't have to worry about. but the aesthetic is missing something now - the beautiful straight line from top to bottom is now broken up by this distended stomach area.

i'll take pics later to illustrate what i mean.

all in all though, happy i got the replacement. now HT needs to do this for every single one of you who needs it.

My stomach looks about the same as the original figure, I don't find the plastic causing a beer belly for me.

let me take another look at it

I don;t see a gutt but it is a bit more loose than the original suit but the material being stiffer I really would not want it to be a tight fit and kill the material underneath much like the leaky one even did here below

you know, you guys are right. it's not so bad at all, and it's better than risking a leak. i just checked my other replaced bod and it's just about fine. the one i have on display is the slightly twisted one, and i think that's pushing the stomach out slightly more.

I held out sending back my body when hot toys were still talking about the replacement still having a slim chance of leaking. Looks like its safe now so off if it goes!!!

Trouble too is, with the harder shirt, you can't manipulate the waist pieces like on the soft rubber Batman's, which was the cause of the beer belly on the OC and v1 figures.

What do you mean by a thin sheet between shirt and pants? If you mean by the sheet being underneath then i didn't get that with mine. Not like it matters but just wondering why?

It's like a paper thin piece of transparent plastic placed between the front of the shirt and the pants, it's shaped to hide behind the shirt so you can't see it. When HT first started replacing oil figures, they just put this sheet in there thinking it was a reaction between the shirt and pants and that would be the fix. It wasn't and they developed the plastic fron shirt, but they apparently decided to still put the sheet in place as an extra precaution.

so I dont get it... should I send a replacement for it, or should I just wipe occasionally?

anyone whos gotten the new body care to shed some lights on that?

Hey THANX for that bit of info!I just looked under the shirt and i can't really see any thin pice of transparency there but i did notice that it is real shiny under there.Could that be it?Oh by the way, still no leak!:yess:

I personally think its worth gettin because the new body doesn't leak but besides that it's cause your entitled to recieve a replacement especially since you paid for perfection. That's what i think anyway!:wink1:

what I meant was is the new body > old body that has a slight oil leakage but greater poseability? any other pros and cons?

Yes, it's possible for some people that sheet might be clinging to the inside of the shirt so you wouldn't notice it, I could on mine. If the material is like the kind of transparent stuff it seems to be, it can be clingy.

The new body appears to resolve the leaking problem, the only con of the new design is you can't bend batman forward at the waist at all, but on the original figure you could hardly do that anyway, the rest of the articulation of the body appears identical to me.

yeah well I took another closer look at my other original DX02 and se if you can spot the flaws .. so it is going back, just send them an email
