I think the PERS looks great here. I don't know why people have the need to pose the eyes looking down. The figure always comes off looking like a simpleton or crazy. That eye position only works on the Joker. It doesn't work on any other DX figure Ive seen.

Im actually starting to like this more than the mms117.

I have to say that I seriously do not know what to think of it.
Overall I love it, especially due to the Chip feature and the REALLY better look with glasses.

On the other side it´s a wasted oppurtunity with the PERS and the scenes we could´ve had reimagined, with his squinted look.
I do, however, kinda see that they tried to incorporate his squinted glance into this sculpt, cause in certain angles he kinda looks that way.

I´ll deffo buy him, and he´ll look great on my shelf, but the next NEEDS to be a Semi-/Full BD Figure...maybe in a DX like Luke.
We see that it can be done wih reasonable pricing.

Ouh, and love the box, emulating his jacket.
Can´t wait to have and unpack this.

The sculpt has a soft look to and the paint doesn't look as good as past releases. Even though, I actually dig this figure. I had no interest but I think I might nab one.

Is that detachable scalp soft or will the material for that be as hard as the other portions of the hair?

I've gone back & looked at all the pics (cheers OMG) - & there are some nice things about this figure, sure.

That said - I love the first HT T2 Arnold - LOVE it. The head sculpt may not be 100%, but it's a f'ing solid figure, with a crisply sculpted, aged Arnold likeness - plus that sensational endo arm, & some great extras.

This new one just feels like mostly more of the same - with those excellent guns, but also a few gimmicks thrown in to hopefully make you feel better about buying one.

Really glad I have the first version now.

I honestly don't get all the complaints about this. I feel like the criticism is all monkey see monkey do.

Anyone who says the mms is a better sculpt does not know what Schwarzenegger looks like.

OMG would love to see some more side by side shots of the two. I have a feeling the outfit is a ton better too

People see things differently. Personally I took a quick look through OMG's photos and even with all the touching up and what not, my immediate thought was "wow they really didn't capture Arnold very well at all." Likeness is a hard thing to please everyone with. People like to pretend likeness aspects are fact, but they really aren't Even a really inaccurate looking T-800 will still remind people of the T-800 and make them think of Arnold so in that sense the idea of representing the character holds true in most cases. The degree to which it happens is what seems to be far more relative. What bothers me is how hard of a time people have accepting this. It's good to discuss and argue and such, but the continued existence of these discussions and arguments say volumes more than the actual arguments themselves.

I hope that one day someone shrinks the 1/4 EB Terminator sculpt into 1/6. That'd be all kinds of awesome.
