^^ most shots I see of Arnie with the black shirt on, he has bullet holes in the front... shouldn't be too hard to replicate, but do ruin an otherwise perfect shirt



On another note... on close inspection of my MMS jacket, I see the weathering is PAINT. I was thoroughly convinced it was sanded...

I'm constantly plotting a good way to weather this leather and it will be done soon.

The funny thing about this figure is i look at him in my detolf, and it feels utterly perfect to me... then I look at the movie, and then the figure looks like he's in a "Leather Ranch" commercial with brand new store bought leather.

I think a couple skids accross the road would be great but I don't want to risk the randomness of it. That's why that theory will likely not happen. When I look at Arnie's coat, i see alot of wear, somewhat like indies.... too bad you only get one shot to do it right.

I'm constantly plotting a good way to weather this leather and it will be done soon.

i failed several ways of it. some were too difficult and some didn't give any result.
if you invent an easy & resultive way, please share it.

Interesting P., and very dis-encouraging at the same time!
If YOU can't do it... with all your experience, I'd just be wasting a jacket!

I guess the ultimate fact is leather is worn over time with friction and use... maybe I could put this jacket on my hand and rub it on the carpet... might mimic everyday rubbing

you see, they painted it with black color too much.
as i already wrote, that leather survives everything i did to it, including acids.
at the same time the black color survives everything, too.
if you sand it, you have black fingers and still black clothes + unnaturally looking blue spots.
if you rub it with acid, black paint goes off very cool but becomes violet.
so i think i'll stick to some painting when all new clothes arrive. i noticed that a stone dust, rubbed into the pores, gives a nice view. maybe mixing some grey paint & rubbing it inside with fingers will do the deal.

what's cool here is that it is almost impossible to destroy the material itself.

did that also. with sanding paper. didn't like the result. warning - don't damage the string / lose metal parts

I disagree, you captured the figure and the likeness very well

The only thing lacking is a more intersting pose, and yes the case is very nice, wheres if from?

I haven't seen him posed with Cyberdyne gear and the black shirt before. It looks really cool.

Thanks Skull but I think we will agree to disagree I got the case from my LCS a few months ago, I added the lights myself as it didn't come with any. It's by a company called NCU.

As for the pose, I totally agree but I never pose any of my figures for fear of breaking something as I am very heavy handed with big sausages for fingers

I think my case won't fit him aiming the minigun away from his body. The minigun look too long.

I got my dx Terminator tonight and I'm totaly blown Away. I just Love ,Love ,Love it! Will take some pics tommorow. I'm so glad I picked up a 2nd one I'm puttin together with the original head for one to go on the new muscle true type body his bike. AFTER seein the dx hs may grab another hs for just to have. A AMAZING figure up there with 89 bats and superman , jack joker as my all time fave's. The leather and hs and everything is perfect A must have cant say enough about this figure.

My parts for my Pescadero bash are slowly making their way to me and I got the MMS threads to complete that look with the DX10 head and boots.

Yep all the dx 10 leathers only thing differnt will be a black shirt and original hot toys t2 head so will have both versions. Like said will have to pick up a 2nd dx10 hs in case feel like changing. My original plan was just to use for the xtra dx 13 head but totaly love this figure ,he's just that bad ***!

My 2nd set of leathers should be here by latest thursday and hoping body and head by friday hopefully. I'm hooked now cant wait to get my cabinets from IKEA so can have a sweet display soon. Waitin for my sis to go with to ikea since store is all the way across town from me.
