Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Many thanks for the compliments on my pics there guys. That Pescadero diorama has had as a fantastic side-benefit the perfect lighting conditions for photographing these figures, even Predators and superheroes and so on.

:clap:hi5: NICE, looks like Arnie was shopping at sam the record man back in the day

Beautiful shots man! I am so glad I got this bad boy. I really need to get a better camera. Mind if I ask what kind you are using for these close ups?

I think you're referring to my pics? I have a Canon IXUS 80IS, 8.0 mega pixel camera. Those pics used the macro setting.

Hey a-dev, whatcha planning? I seen your post in the captain america thread about the neck, What body would you put it on?

I want to fit a DX10 head to my permanent bike-riding T-800, replacing the NECA head that I'm using right now. So I need a neck that is bulky enough and realistic enough in its texture and muscles and so on. It also has to be long enough. The body I'm using is just an old plastic Truetype padded out with bubblewrap and dressed in MMS117 clothes.

Cool Idea, That neck may just be perfect for that purpose, looks like it would anyway, I don't have that CA to know for sure.

Bet I won't get an answer in that thread. The next post will probably just be a quote of someone elses post from the previous page or something.

:lol Exactly has predicted as it turned out. Oh well, guess I'm buying blind.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Most Hot Toys TT necks are all about the same until you get to the slims that are even smaller. If you can get a Captain America neck it might be about the biggest I know of, but I only know about HT. As for other companies I haven't a clue, someone else might know.

Have you given any thought of just replacing the entire body, you can get pre-order (they must be out because I've already got one from them) the Advanced Muscle Body for $59.99 on Sideshow. It's the same body as the DX10, is probably going to be the same as the DX13; with some modifications, and I have read that the MMS clothing fits on even better. You may even find it cheaper and in stock on some other site.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Thanks Dollmanron. Well for a figure thats permanently sat on the fragile Tamiya bike I need a lightweight figure so a slimmer Truetype is a must in this case. Also it offers better poseability, more hunched over, greater range in the arms and legs etc. If not for these necessities yeah it'd be a muscle body all the way.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

I have the T1 and T2 MMS Terminator figures and they’re heavy, I also have the DX10 Terminator and a plain Arnold I custom put together from a DX10 head and the TTM20 Muscle body (he is my all purpose Arnold); sadly those versions are still heavy. Maybe not as much, but if you've got one of those expensive Harley Fat Boy Motorcycle model kits I would be scared personally to put one on it unless the weight of the figure was being supported by the figure itself; his feet on the ground.

Might have to steal that pose since I have an individual case and probably won't be able to do minigun.

I know how you feel. Unless you post regularly over there, they tend to ignore the "new guys" :monkey2 When I had more than just 2 Marvel figures, I'd post there and just get skipped over :lol

Sorry I missed your question about the neck a-dev, but I can answer it for you. I think the Cap neck will be good for your purposes especially since you think the necks on the current Arnie bodies are too thick. It has some good skin texture and some muscle/bulk to it. It will just have a slightly lighter skin color than that of the DX10 skin color though
Might have to steal that pose since I have an individual case and probably won't be able to do minigun.
Thanks man. Why won't you be able to do the minigun pose?

Thanks :hi5: One thing that I think really helps is having the lapels in the right place, which was the first thing I did when I got this figure

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Hey Gipetto... wtf is a lapels?

I think the gentlemen above who can't display the minigun because of the case means - the single cases are too narrow...

Hey Gipetto, is that gipetto from meet the ****ers?

Lapels are the part connected to the collar of the jacket (and most jackets) that lay on the chest. They're sewn wrong on the DX10 jacket

Also, Gipetto as in the guy who made Pinocchio since I do lots of customs :wink1:

Love the pose and shot too, looks so much like Arnold. :clap

While taking some new collection shots today, I took some new ones of Arnie as well, trying to capture the likeness sans sunglasses. I think taking pictures from below hides some of the poofy hair in the back, improving the likeness. (Oh and before anybody mentions it, I know it's the wrong shirt, and yes, I prefer it this way ;)).
