Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

I don't think there is gonna be any fixing going on. Pics from MILK like that are generally production pieces, aren't they? I'm guessing this figure will be released sooner rather than later. The sunglasses look kind of silly there, but maybe he just needs to be futzed.

I actually thought the non-glasses pic next to that one might be the closest that sculpt has looked to Arnie. But that glasses pic is just weird. It's like a dog wearing sunglasses.

And oof... that seam.

they gave us DX89 Bats with PERS cover the size of the head. Now DX T2 with PERS cover easily hidden. but gap the size if 1.1 scale can move PERS by putting hands through that gap.:dunno? HT,s DX quality up & up.lol :slap

Do you understand what it means to have an objective opinion? No need to throw insults and get worked up because you happen to disagree with others on the Internet :dunno.

Everyone has their own preference on which figures they prefer. So far, there hasn't been a single company (Sideshow, Hot Toys, or Enterbay) that has managed to produce a completely accurate Arnold figure. In my opinion (understand?) Hot Toys' sculpt does look much better than Sideshow's. While the Sideshow statues do have some semblance to Arnold, I find that the faces are too elongated and narrow, and the paint textures too glossed over, giving the impression of a somewhat cartoonish look.

As for Enterbay, they're far from being perfect themselves. To me, the forehead on the Enterbay T-800 is too large, producing an "egg-head" shape head-sculpt. Now, in terms of whether Enterbay or Hot Toys produced the better T-800s, I honestly can't say, and nor do I want to get into such a discussion. Both, are fantastic in their own ways.

:goodpost: I totally agree, they'll never get the likness 100%,(unless the ppl making the models for the movie make 1/6 scale figures and release them to the public) but never the less the sculptures at HT do a great job of getting it at about 96-97%.

:exactly: :goodpost:

Some people really struggle with the notion that others also have opinions :slap

I'm sorry but WTF is that? Why is his head split in half? And people slag off the mould seams on Neca figures.

I'm sure it'll look better on the final figure but still.....wtf.

:exactly: and I tho '89 Batman's PERS pannel looks bad...

:monkey4oh wow, they aren't even trying to hide that ____ anymore.

I wouldn't be too concerned about that gap at this point. It's a long time until October and that there is a prototype.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

There is no way that they won't fix that gap. No way. Just like I said there was no way they wouldn't fix the DX Indy sculpt.

I'm glad I don't stare at the back of my figures heads all day like the rest of ya.

HS looks good here with some tweaks especially around the mouth, we could have something.
But again shades are too small. Too bad. Sadly, that kinda reminds me T3.

Hey Genelle, what's wrong with wolfie, I can hear him barking.

I'm actually loving the sculpt in that pic. Glasses on and off. Of course the glasses don't look like their put on right at the ears but they still look great. Not perfect, but good enough.

Looks like HT's best Arnie sculpt IMO. Only thing that ruins it is the hairpiece in the back. I'm not too worried about the seams, as the only seam that actually bugs me is the point between the jaw and neck, and both past Arnies HT released have had that too (Which aren't bugging me in hand). The other seams aren't as noticeable, and considering these pics use high amounts of flash, I wouldn't be too worried about everything overall.

Generally I wouldn't need HT tweaking and bettering this sculpt, but I wouldn't say no to it. :monkey1 What I really want though is a second smirking sculpt.

Do have to say I'm really really psyched for this release. :yess:

Yeah but still it is ugly right now. Also I never understood why they need that ugly cut between the head and the neck. It looks bad. It looks bad on here, it looks bad on the Enterbay figure etc. I prefer the good old style when the neck and the head is one piece.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

With the hair it looks fine. That is also a proto, so I'm sure the final will look better.
