HT T1 BD head if painted eye brows. without the battle damage looks a good T2 already :chug

I am certainly looking forward to getting this figure dispite opinions. Although, I came across a Neca version today and now wish Hot Toys had added a battle damaged headsculpt to this DX set. Imagine the engineering to make the PERS work on that head. The eyeball will probably crack, leak oil and slip out of the socket anyway. :lol

I hope they don't combine pers with the light up eye, I would hate to see how bad that could be:slap Just a regular mms release with a light up eye please:pray:

That NECA head looks repainted, its certainly better looking than mine.

It's gonna be decision that Hot Toys is going to have to make, personally I cant see how the long overdue BD T800 could be anything other than a DX but then DX does mean PERS :dunno

Light up pers would be awesome. I hope the Endo has it.

It'd be cool to be able to get that upturned stare out of the endo but have the option of a more neutral eye position too. Alas PERS eyes with LEDs aswell may be asking too much.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

I'm not sure but I don't think it is repainted as mine does look like that. I have to say its an ok figure, yeah the sculpt is off and the articulation sucks but for the price its not bad. I have mine on display with my hot toys terminators(in the back of the shelf)but it makes a good place holder til we get a HT version. I wish neca actually made more stuff in 1:6 scale, would be nice to get some predators on the cheap and would open up the market for alot of cool customs.

I've been hoping for some Aliens from them in 1/6, for reasons I won't go into in this thread.

tbh if a DX Luke Skywalker doesn't come with a light up lightsaber we shouldn't really expect any light up function on a possible BD figure :(

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Wow, you guys have a great eye for these details. I rarely, if ever, can pinpoint what it might be about a certain sculpt that throws it off, if I even think the sculpt is off. It's probably cuz I'm not an artist in any way at all. I guess that's a plus of not having any artistic skill, it lets me see sculpts like this one, MMS117, MMS136, Hawkeye or Nick Fury and think ":thud:, that is an awesome sculpt". But if I compare pix like the ones you posted Solidus, I can see the stuff that you guys point out. Things like maybe the chin and forehead should be just a little bit taller to give his head a little more height:dunno. But fortunately I can still go grab my MMS117 off the shelf, look at him and think ":yess:, that's a frakkin' great sculpt". At least they don't have the melon-heads that some of the Sideshow figs have:horror.

Believe me, I am no artist, by any means - just a person who spends way too much time looking at action figures :lol. But, I agree, that this head-sculpt looks better than the statues that Sideshow has released. In my opinion, in terms of accuracy, even Hot Toys' worst sculpt, is better than Sideshow's best. But, of course, the head-sculpt of the DX10 is far from being horrible - it's just inaccurate in certain proportions.

So long as we don't see the prefect Arnold HS, sure more t-800 is coming:lol

This has been mentioned before, but I'm starting to wonder if Hot Toys has been deliberately holding back their creative talents, to give them an excuse to keep releasing iterations of the same figure with just slight improvements.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

You know T2 isn't the greatest movie out there but watching it opening weekend in Los Angeles the summer before my senior year in high school and seeing Arnold kick the desk through the glass and start unloading on all those police cars was one of the most exhilirating cinematic moments I'd ever experienced, and this is coming from someone who grew up with the first runs of Star Wars and E.T.

Ordered. I don't know how I'll be able to swing it, but for now it's in my queue.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

The more I look at this, the more I like the head sculpt on this and dislike the headsculpt on my MMS117. Its ok with the glasses on, but IMO, doesn't hold up well compared to HT latest releases.

The only thing I don't like about this figure really is the base. I'd have much preferred a 'mini-dio,' would've really made the figure stand out better.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - DX T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Dx02: pers eyes + light up function

Not exactly. We're wanting both PERS and the light up feature in one head. Which isn't that good an idea, the wire soldering might damage the PERS, and other way 'round.

even though I'm getting this for me the original mms still beats any Arnie figure on the market and that includes the enterbay one!!
