Bare with me, this is going to be a book...
Okay, a few years ago I did some writing. Some TV episodes, a film adaptation of Green Lantern (ooooh, don't even get me started on where that all went! ) and a horror film.
Oh, don't think I was getting paid for anything I was writing. Strictly recreational, but wanting to be more. I sent out a lot of what I could that wasn't someone else's IP (again, except GL but I thought I followed the correct process - do you get that I'm not even a little bitter?) to agents but got the expected rejections.
After GL, I wrote a short film and decided to try to make it. That was a lot of fun but as BadMoon can attest, was not a success. Wasn't able to finish it. Ran out of Summer for the pivotal exterior shots. No leaves on the trees = no continuity with everthing else I shot that Summer. Meant to go back to it the next Summer but my lead was no longer available by then.
So, with my crushing defeat I've not done any writing since then. I didn't feel right starting a new project knowing I didn't finish the old one.
That's all changed. I think I'm ready to start again.
So, I have an idea for a series of dark comedy digital shorts called "...At the End of the World". Basically what ordinary people would be doing if they knew the world was going to end in 48 hours.
I want an episode (5-10 minutes long) starring the East Coast Freaks.
Anyone interested in participating the weekend of the gathering?
And I won't be upset if you don't want to!
