Bare with me, this is going to be a book...

Okay, a few years ago I did some writing. Some TV episodes, a film adaptation of Green Lantern (ooooh, don't even get me started on where that all went! :banghead :banghead) and a horror film.

Oh, don't think I was getting paid for anything I was writing. Strictly recreational, but wanting to be more. I sent out a lot of what I could that wasn't someone else's IP (again, except GL but I thought I followed the correct process - do you get that I'm not even a little bitter?) to agents but got the expected rejections.

After GL, I wrote a short film and decided to try to make it. That was a lot of fun but as BadMoon can attest, was not a success. Wasn't able to finish it. Ran out of Summer for the pivotal exterior shots. No leaves on the trees = no continuity with everthing else I shot that Summer. Meant to go back to it the next Summer but my lead was no longer available by then.

So, with my crushing defeat I've not done any writing since then. I didn't feel right starting a new project knowing I didn't finish the old one.

That's all changed. I think I'm ready to start again.

So, I have an idea for a series of dark comedy digital shorts called "...At the End of the World". Basically what ordinary people would be doing if they knew the world was going to end in 48 hours.

I want an episode (5-10 minutes long) starring the East Coast Freaks.

Anyone interested in participating the weekend of the gathering?

And I won't be upset if you don't want to! :)

Havyck I am up for whatever project you are working on. I still would love to see the movie finished though. Kick that guy in his butt! :D

Right on! Thanks, man.
and BTW, guys so you know Special Agent BadMoon had a cameo in my movie!! Got to have a gun (albeit a convincing BB gun) and everything.:lol:rotfl:lol

Awesome Havyk, you can count on me bro. Sounds like a kickass idea anyway. I used to have the very same dreams for years. Always wanted to work in film as a kid and all through my teens and early adulthood. Would be fun to relive that a little. :D

I live in Northern Virginia...I'd be up for it. Just make sure we don't all forget when spring/summer finally comes around!

Not sure you'd want my mug in your film project!:

But hell, i'm down anyway! :lol

Seriously though, this is cool. My friend and I are in the process (for the past year or so) of writing up a pilot for a crime/action drama, so I feel your need to want to do something like this. :rock

basically some hardcore drugs, some fine women & a large bank loan :lol

My friend was just telling me last night that I should've been an actor. If you have any roll for a good looking, smart ass, I'm your man :D

This is gonna be one hell of a weekend.

you sound ideal for the role of used car salesman that falls on hard times & has to use his looks in the gay porn industry :lol:lol

I'm trying to figure out how far it is from Atlanta to Laurel, MD. If the drive isn't too much, I may consider it.

My plan is to include all the Freaks that can be there that weekend. My plan is to write the episode around those that are definitely going to be there, then ship it out to ya'all in advance to read.

Then you can work with me on your individual lines to adapt it more to your personalities.

And so you know, I already know there's going to be segment where the Freaks throw down with the people who think we're dorks for what we love to collect.

Think the gang fight in Anchorman. Perhaps without tridents. :idea:idea
