now maybe but when your old & wrinkly? :lol

or don't get a certain job cause of them :lol

my problem is I've never liked a design enough to spend the rest of my life with it

I stick with things I like. I usually don't get tired of things too easily. You are right though....the hard part is finding a design you love. The best way is to go in with an idea and let the tattoo artist draw if for you so you have something fully original.

It's like art for your body. Screw diamonds or jewelry...I'd rather be stuck with needles dipped in ink anyday! Plus, everytime I get one it creates a memory and everytime I look at my tattoo's it reminds me of that time in my life.

Besides, I look good now with the tattoos, who's gonna care what they look like when I'm 80.

True... I was gonna get a tattoo when I was at uni, I had my mind set but then my car broke down and all my finances at the time went on getting a new car
when I look back, I thank god I didn't get it as I hate that design now & that's kinda what puts me off getting any tattoo now

That's exactly how I feel about mine. They all mean something to me and the reason it's been 4 years since my last one is just that there hasn't been anything that I wanted on my body for the rest of my life.

I'd certainly be down (hell I wanted to get one this past weekend)

I have a camera for memories

I'm sure they rock but each to their own tastes unless I was like badmoon & in the marines then I'd wear that tattoo with pride & honour

Cameras can't always capture a feeling like a piece of art can

To each his own though.

I would never get a tattoo just to get a tattoo. The one I want to get I've wanted for a while and it's just a little filler one.

It's funny how addicting it is once you get one. Next time it'll be on (to the break of dawn).

I really think I want a day of the dead skull on the back of my right calf.

Yeah, different strokes for different folks (unless you're ambidextrous)

:D
i asked you if you wanted to, and you just stared blankly at me!
:lol:lol

Loki, you've got one of the longest most epic bird fingers I've ever seen.

The ladies don't complain :naughty

It became a running joke when 90% of the pics of me from Friday (pre ball punched) had a middle finger in them. Just a reflex of mine. Done it ever since I was 13. My Mom hates it

Sorry, didn't think you were serious. Need to research the shop if we do first though. I won't get a tattoo and any random shop.

yeah, I feel ya! I love my new tattoos, but next time I want to go to Black Thorn Gallery. Stellar art! We wouldn't have been able to get in there this weekend....there's always a wait. You have to make appt. in advance.

Do you have someplace you like to go...down in MD?

It's in Baltimore. Where I've gotten all my work done. I know the owner and he only hires great artists. I'd trust pretty much anyone in that shop.

It was called Read Street Tattoo but that was when they were on Read St. They moved a few blocks away and I can't remember if they changed their name or not. I think the website still works though.
