Great post Commtech!
Well even if the neck doesnt open up into 2 perfect pieces it doesnt matter. Since the Scissorhands collar bit hides the imperfection.
(Caution: tetanus infection - just be careful when using rusty tools...)
:D

Slim neck or Narrow Shoulder neck?

Sorry. Narrow or regular necks = No good. Too wide for Edward Scissorhands' neck collar and brace.

slim TT necks = good!

So I'm pretty bummed right now...

My Edward stuff came today, but when I took him out of the box to set him up, I realized there was a situation...

The leg is detached at the knee :(

I've been trying for a half hour to pop the knee joint back in place but 1) It's damn difficult with zero visibility, and I cant get a good grip because the outfit is slippery and I don't want to ruin/stretch it...and 2) I'm not even sure I can pop it back in, it may just be broken.

Does anyone with this figure have any suggestions? :monkey2

Oh man that sucks. I feel your pain bro. :(

I don't know if the joint could be separated like that without being broken. :(

The top of the knee joint is most likely broken and you're going to have to undress him to determine how bad it is. The outfit is actually easier to remove than it might first appear. A simple super glue fix could work or it could require more extensive surgery. The black plastic of Ed's body has been reported as more fragile than normal truetypes, don't know if there's truth to that or not. I've fixed a couple TT's before and they came out great. Luckily Ed won't require many dynamic poses.

mate i had the same problem with my edward scissorhands. Also 2 other slim TT body that i bought. I had to replace knee joints for all of them. Seems like the problem is due to the quality of the slim body knee joints.

Thanks to Naicon heres a guide on how to fix up broken joints...

No point in getting another slim body for it since the joints are most probably bad too... best to get a knee replacement using Barrack nude body or other nude body that share the same joint design.
From memory i think ACI produced a nude body which is basically using HT's TT design with a modded chest. Can also look into that for joint replacement.

Damn im sorry to hear that Marf... better something with the body than the costume or god forbid the head! at least it can be fixed/replaced

Jack I have to say im still so loving this head it is frikking drop dead amazing. and commtech's neck mod brings it all together.

Not that it really needs it but i thought briefly about putting a dab of gel in his hair to get that greasy look but I do not want to ruin it so i doubt I will.

Thanks man!

I dont think u need to use any gel or glue to the hair just try and use your fingers and twist some small fringes to see how that goes... The hair seems to stay in place...

I was able to hike the pant leg up past the knee to get a good look at it and it was in fact broken :( Are you able to take the pants completely off? I didn't see a way how when looking at him last night.

Thanks for the tip Jack, I'll definitely be trying to do a knee swap, or two rather...I realized the other knee is broken too, just not to the point of dangling yet :slap

You're right Ray, at least it wasn't the head! It is a frickin amazing piece...I'm just bummed the whole knee situation has put a damper on the whole experience :(

Thanks bud, I've already contacted the seller and he has offered to buy me a Barrack body to use for the knee replacement. He' a good dude, just a crappy situation!

So I borrowed the lower half of both legs from a spare narrow TT I had to fix Edward until my spare knee joints arrive :yess: I've also done Commtech's ingenious neck mod (thanks again for the tips man:bow) and made a 1/6 butterfly to rest on his index blade :) Here are some pics, I could not be happier with this amazing piece!
