I can confirm this info. More like $1000, which is a deal breaker for me, and different edition sizes on the two. Also, eFX told me there may be a signature edition as well.

Looks like even more reasonably priced MR RotS versions will be on the secondary market soon.... :)
I agree, this eFX helmet promises to be the best one to date, but I just can't spend $1000 for a helmet.

I wish we could get reliable info on this already, too much speculation...

It's not speculation... we've just been told different things between SDCC and CV. It's apparent that eFX & LFL are still finalizing their plans/prices for these. I was told at SDCC they would both be $899, and while I thought that was odd that is what I was told, so that's the info I shared at the time.

Just a few of my bad closeup shots. But I like to get them without people in the background and maybe you can see more detail this way. I only took a couple of each as I have decided this replica is likely out of my price range.

The screen accurate:

And the idealized:

Great pics Darth. It's a little out of my league too, so I'll just have to rely on everyone's cool photos as it's the closest I'll ever get to seeing it.

They both look great! If money is no object, whats everyone going to go with, screen or idealized? Im having a hard time deciding :(

The idealized looks better, and on top of that it will be less expensive. But what I found most enlightening was seeing so many details I never knew existed before. The most interesting being the way the solid black paint goes all the way over the right upper cheek and continues over the bridge of the nose. Then, there is another area of lighter paint on the left upper cheek.

Strange, no?

Should be able to. The lenses on the McVader are far more transparent however. I'm wondering if the laid fiberglass look which appears under the fringe of both of the ANH helmets is the way they will be out of production. Or if it will be smoothed out.

I think the average collector would be happy with the idealized version. The screen accurate is pretty cool, but I think if my friends and family saw that in my collection, they would think I painted it myself. :lol
