The actual cape used on bale has a v cut in the back just like the tdk cape. It was designed that way because of the v in the back of the cowl. The cape does cover part of the sides of the cowl at points but it is essentially because the cape is connected the same way as the tdk suit, just with visible cape clips.

So how do you plan on designing a custom cape? You gonna go with the old "under-the-cowl-with-a-hole-cut-for-the-neck" design?

My plan is to do it the right way at the scale. The only problem I foresee is the weight of the fabric might make this impossible as it could rip the fabric if it hangs from the clips.

Cheers.

I removed the magnets from the clips. Although the cape IS held on with them, they are disguised under the cowl. The clips are cheated, with blu-tac and some card, holding them snug under the cowl as well.

I'm quite pleased with the cape, it's nicely weighted and easy to futz.

I was getting the head down, if it killed me. No abdomen joint,(I think), so that's as good as I could get. Also why I removed the clip magnets, bloody cowl kept knock them off, whenever I pushed it forward.

:lol

Sky the only thing i'd futz would be pulling the cape up a bit. Up to the point where the "V" of the cape lines up with the "V" of the cowl.

Anyone gonna attempt a custom base? I'd like to take a crack at it while I wait for him to arrive.

Without any doubt in my mind, that is THE most realistic painted head / skin tone I've ever seen on a collectible at any scale. It's indistinguishable from the skin of your hand! What an amazing achievement to paint something as good as this. These guys are phenomenally talented.

Got to agree there. Whatever about the sculpt that really does look like human flesh.

WAIT! This pic shows a great Bale sculpt...I am pleased......so much to really like here!

i really can't wait till sept lol the BW headsculpt is nice but i won't ever use it i hate the look of no cowl the actor just looks out of place for some reason while wearing the costume to me anyway.

i can see myself futzing with this for hours till i get a perfect pose i am happy with and have things in the right position, and thats not a bad thing i enjoy doing that.
