Figures are about 1/10 of the story! Movies and documentaries are where you really learn.

I don't believe it!

I had that kit!! It was one of the first kits I ever fully completed, and I loved it! It got sold not long after I completed it, but I did a great job. Actually, one of the best kits I ever made was one you sculpted, the Kurgan from Highlander. He was fantastic, by then Fifth Sense were using Creative Casting so the kit was flawless.

So glad to finally meet you!

Excellent, what a blast to meet someone else who had a Bruce...that's 3 I know of now :lol . Many thanks for your kind words too on the Kurgan.

Al

Tried fixing the foot, no luck! Just pre-ordered the extra boxy from local retailer, sheduled for October. Hot Toys body works great with head and hands though..funny.

The member I traded with FINALLY got my GoD 3rd Edition.. after 24 days from mailing, it spend almost a week in NYC Customs!!! and it was EMS! And the saddest part is inspite of all the efforts I took it has reached him battered and beaten and beyond recognition! (looks like a neutral feedback awaits me :( )

Seems like this will be the LAST TIME EVER Ill EMS a Large package like this abroad... cant the postal office take a little care with packages? It cost me around $80-85 shipping!! and this is the service!!

I have a package from BBTS which was mailed on the 29th and has been sitting in customs since the 3rd...
All this has just made me more disillusioned with the service and now makes me wonder what EXACTLY is the service to go for when shipping and receiving items internationally...

:(

That sucks. Did you take pics of the items right before shipping to prove the condition? How did you package the set?

I normally wrap all my sculpts & bodies in extra tissue paper & bubble wrap just in case shipping is rough. Same goes for bulky items. GuoBei ships EMS from HK to US and everything I got from him was mint, really strange your things took such a beating. Hope it works out for you.

Well I wrapped three rounds of bubble wrap, then placed it in a BBTS box I had and put those big round bubble wraps that BBTS give (where each bubble is the size of a ping-pong ball) to squeeze and close any emptyspace. Then sealed the box. and on top of that covered/shrinkwrapped it in white cloth and stitched the cloth so it was sealed. (Thats the standard way Ive seen big govt deliveries being made etc etc) No never took pics... whatever pics I had of my GoD are lying in this thread and the facebook stuff I keep of all my 1:6ths I deleted that a day after I shipped out my GoD :(

My box was battered but it wasnt lying all open, the sides were all rubbed when it came, my diorama was intact and so were the other things... my trader got everything literally dismantled! the diorama had come apart etc etc he said even the postal clerk shook his head at the condition...

This is my first disaster with international shipping, and my second attempt. I win one loss... pretty bad ratio :(

Hey Y4NK33, to my knowledge Guo Bei does not ship EMS (or any other way for that matter) from HK (Hong Kong) - but in fact he only ships directly from Beijing, China (where he is located) - and the reason everything arrives in mint condition is because he packs really well with three layers of bobble plastic and two card board boxes. I have had long discussions with him about him moving his business to HK or having arranged transportation from Beijing to Hong Kong, so that the shipping would cost less and go easier, but right now it is shipped with EMS directly from Beijing.

i feel for you axe..had a very bad experience myself today..all mailing company's should take more care when handling any sort of package. but some dont really give a s@@t

Oh Beijing you're right, but he did ship to me EMS - TWICE :wink1:

Haha, my friend that told me about the EB ETD for $218 in that secret store is right. But it's the 1/4 statue and not the 1/6 figure. :p

edit: Oh, I think my GOD is 922. :( Earlyy batchhh

It was probably the fault of customs. I remember once I got a screwed up package. and I could make out it was opened by customs as the top layer had no bubble wrap whereas the rest of the box was lined with bubble wrap. The chaps open the stuff and then dont replace the packing... then the shipping company does the rest in transit.

Might sound very bad but the very fact a 4kg parcel labelled 'Plastic Toys' going from India to the US with the current political scenario in the world does sound suspicious to both our as well as US customs officials...

my package arrived empty mate..even though it was labeled damaged..
i can live with damages(though how you can damage 1/6 clothing is beyond me) but missing items is another thing
