As is clearly demonstrated in this pic taken from actual FILMING of the movie, the gauntlets are clearly shinier. But not a big deal, they can be repainted. Just wondering why companies that specialize in this stuff can't get the basics right, or at least very close to right. Otherwise this fig is absolutely awesome (face sculpt -- the eyes could be better).

Amazing figure. I can actually see a difference between 1/6 and 1/4!:panic::lol But seriously, the cowl, belt and cape all look stunning.

Bale sculpt leaves more to be desired, but I'll wait for more pics

I wonder how this material is different from the 1/6 HT version? That figure has the matt finish coming off on some forum pictures i saw and people were scared to pose it in case the rubber split etc. I hope we can pose this without that worry.

I sold my 1/6 version the other week because i was worried about the above.

True. Only Takara's 1/6 came closest to accuracy.

In my experience with flexible materials, paint or gloss applications will chip, fade or crack over time and temp changes.. maybe this is why they do not make these areas glossy... I can see the thread now about Batman Enterbay production flaws...:)

:dunno Takara made them glossy, the figure was released a few years ago; still, they haven't lost the sheen and have no defects either. Here's Maglor's HT Bat with Tak Gs:

god damn it, why did this have to end up looking so good. the only other 1/4 figs i was going to pick up in addition to my T-800 was BD T2, joker and hot toys 1/4 original predator. now i really want this too. the rubber suit worries me tho, nothing but bad experiences with rubber on figures. anyone know what material this is? is it likely to degrade within 5 years?

I just posted the same thing on the other page. It's the only thing stopping me from fully wanting it at the moment.

I remember someone posted that Bill was talking about using industrial grade rubber, so that the suit will be more efficient and durable.

yeah. the 1/4 T-800 has a rubber-like chest and neck, which i dont like, but at least if something DOES happen, it's covered by clothes. you dont have that luxury with batman. the rubber IS his clothes. any cracking or tearing would be way too obvious and it'd be gutting after paying so much. but man it just looks TOO good just just pass on. always prefered the begins suit over the DKR suit.

Good point... I've personally had some bad luck with rubber items with gloss or paint on them.

Oh right, well i'll wait to see what people here say once they get the figure and just hope onesixthbruce has some left.

Holy hell. I guess I'm gonna cancel my PO for Joker 2.0 and DX12 for this and the 1/4 HT TDKR.

I can feel my bank account slitting it's wrist.
