Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Enterbay has released a few different figures that Sideshow hasn't touched, like Leon the Professional, Scarface, some videogame guys, Jack Bauer, Che Guevara, and Mr. Bean. Then they did a Godfather that did not work out so well in comparison to the Hot Toys version. They've also done some licenses from films and games that are more familiar to Asian audiences (like IP Man). Bruce Lee has been their real focus. They've been working with Medicom on the "Ultimate Unison" line of figures that has included Luke Skywalker, Jack Sparrow, and Han Solo--they have all appeared insanely overpriced for what they are. They have announced an NBA license over a year ago, but no serious movement on that as of yet that I've seen.

:slap Of course Jack Bauer. How could I forget. It's one of the EB figures I want.

That was the standard to beat in 2008 and it's still up there.

You can see what looks to be a lakers uniform on a manaquin in the top left of the most recent teaser for this batman. No clue on if it's 1/6 or 1/4

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

I prefer this costume to TDK one...

More bat-like and menacing, the first film was about establishing that batman needed to intimidate and to do that he had to be a fearful symbol (a bat) in the second that whole theme is dropped once his costume becomes more streamlined and less menacing, i found that too inconsistant, it may have just been cos TDK was more in the daylight than at night compared to Begins and that to me made it less of a dark atmosphere film.

Dude the dark knight was way darker (no pun intended) of a film then batman begins, batman begins is much more optimistic like the animated series more grandiose and heroic. I felt like the dark knight made everything much more like a crime drama not negatively and made batman much more "real" and breakable like he will be in Rises hehehe :nana:

You mis-understood my post, Begins was more gothic in a sense that most of the film took place at night and alot more outdoors which led to a dark aatmospher than TDK which wasn't as much at night or outdoors and Gotham in Begins was more urban street level than the cityscape of TDK

Sideshow did a couple 1/6 Scarface and a 1:1 bust.

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

I think I might be more excited for this than any other forthcoming collectable right now.

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Jack Bauer looks amazing but their body is ____. The ankle joint just snapped on its own from being on display, no posing just there. The body while articulated is fragile as all hell. I've heard the releases past that have been better but my Jack isn't even on display anymore, it's disgustedly sitting in a box. I want this figure but for the price of it, definitely going to let others mess with it first and buy it a bit after release.

Agreed! It's exciting in many ways, a new batman collectible for one, the new scale, different company's take on batman. I'm just pleased for Enterbay as well tbh, the Terminator 1:4 really is the best collectible i've seen / own, i'm hoping they can match or better it with the Batman!

As soon as this ones here, my excitement shifts to the HT TDK suit 1:4 figure, now that really does get my juces flowing!

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

4 way tie for me:

Tumbler
89 Car
89 Batman
This

I refuse to pick just one :nana:

No giant cars for me. And '89 Batman is out already. I said "forthcoming". :lecture

Agreed. The Begins version for me to be specific. Couse in the long run Hot Toys is probably gonna rule on the TDK/TDKR suit front, with all of their re-releases, and different versions. But this poses a bit of a problem for me. If Enterbay 1/4 Begins Bats turns out to be better than HT Toy Fair Exclusive Bat(which I recently bought), then I guess I'll have to sell the HT version. I am not a hoarder type of collector, I'd rather have one definitive take on a character, rather than two of the same. It's a shame couse I absolutely love the new HT Begins figure. Wonder if it's value is gonna rise or fall in the future, with all the coming up bat figures. Should I wait with putting it up on Ebay, or should I sell it as soon as Enterbay releases pictures, to help fund that big 1/4 scale bastard?

Re: ENTERBAY - 1/4 The Dark Knight

Yeah, Begins specifically. I don't think I'm interested in a 1/4 scale TDK suit version.
