The X is selling for over $300 still on ebay. Sell it and get the iphone if you want it. No chance I'd get rid of my X for the 4.

I'll hang on to my X for now. I really like it at the moment. However, in 2 or so months, when Motorola abandons it, I may not like it as much.

I definitely like the X over the 4. I could see buying a 5 this summer though.

They aren't commenting on the price. They also confirmed that you will not be able to talk and use the internet at the same time. They said it may be in the future.

Actually the press conference wasn't so good. They didn't answer a lot of important questions. They just kept saying that their most asked question is when are they getting iPhone.

AFAIK, it's not possible on CDMA at all. That's okay though, I'd rather have mobile hotspot over Data + Voice.

edit: To be clear - While mobile hotspot software is included on the phone, you will be charged for using the service. How much? They aren't saying.

Note that CDMA Development group has announced that simultaneous voice and data on CDMA is coming the first half of this year

They said that the deal with Apple wasn't exclusive. However, no word on AT&T getting the 5 before Verizon. So who knows?

I would say that AT&T will get the 5 first and then Verizon a year from now. Verizon and Apple will piss a lot of people off if they give them an iphone in Feb then replace it 5-6 months later.

not really. I'm not a whore for any company or system. I even own a few Apple products. I just don't think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. I despised their proprietary garbage. If I paid for music it shouldn't only play on YOUR brand player. I hate the OS on their computers.

According to Gizmodo, the iPhone 5 is still slated to be released in July and BOTH Verizon and AT&T will carry it. The thing is that they want people to get hyped nab the 4 and then pay the upgrade fee to get the 5. More cash for Verizon. The iPhone 5 though will be like the 3GS where the differences are evolutionary and not revolutionary. Rumors are starting to swirl that the iPhone 6 (or whatever its called by that point) will add another carrier to the mix in the United States. Remember Apple releases a new iPhone every year since 2008, that's six months from now and I'd advise folks who waited this long to hold out.

Well, the same is true for anybody buying an iPhone on AT&T right now. A new iPhone comes out every summer like clockwork. Anybody shopping for a new phone should know this by now. Anybody who doesn't, probably doesn't care enough about having the latest and greatest gadget.

It's people's own damn fault for not knowing.

That being said, I'm getting my wife a Verizon iPhone 4 in february because she is way past due for a phone and doesn't need the latest and greatest.

AT&T did a similar thing with the iPhone 3G to 3GS and even from the iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 4, denying reports that it'd be out and then offering a credit if people turned in their old phones, nothing really different here with Verizon.

They may not be the greatest thing since sliced bread but their stuff as a whole is much easier to use than anything out there. My mac book has been so much easier to use than any pc computer or laptop I've ever owned. When I've installed a few things over to it there was no issue at all nothing conflicting and so far the OS is better than Windows I think. As far as the Iphone for me personally its been the best cell phone I've ever owned

I will wait till the Iphone 6 comes out to upgrade. I passed on the 3gs because the differences didnt make me want to pull the trigger and I think the same will be here.
