I like the atmosphere but without a hero character like Ash I'm skeptical this will be anywhere near as good as 1 or 2. Even Raimi and Bruce are basically saying this is relying mostly on the violence which makes it seem a bit whored out like a Saw sequel but we'll see.

I am pretty sure I heard Bruce say wait until you see Levy. She is apparently awesome as 'Ash'

I just read the Bruce interview, and it is a bit encouraging. But saying that, the trailer still does nothing for me (so I hope it is not representative of the actual film, in other words), and Bruce is both a bit detached from what he originally did and has a specific financial stake in this new film which may be coloring his opinions a bit. I hope not, though. Would be nice to get a fun horror movie out if this even if it isn't really the same kind of movie that the original ED movies were.

Looks cheap.

Evil Dead was cheap, but at least it didn't look like a Syfi original.

We'll see...but eh.

seeing this trailer, many of the scenes felt like cabin in the woods. Not really interested in what the trailer is showing. Just a bunch of gore.

It looks off too me.

But regardless, it's a remake of Evil Dead, so if I found something I liked about it, I should be raped by a tree. By default.

The production company's claim to fame is the Grudge movies and I think it shows. I know this visual sells to some, but it doesn't do anything for me.

I am sure I'll give it a chance, sure won't be in a theatre.

It looks sick and disgusting to me so that should be good enough for you guys. I cringe easily with these movies.

Sam's company is the Grudge company. :D

I haven't enjoyed anything from it, aside from Drag Me To Hell.
