Lt Charlene Masters was in blue, likely part of the high energy physics team, monitoring phasers in engineering, I think.

Lt-commander Mulhall appears to be assigned to engineering even though she was also the ship's exobiologist.

Lt McGivers was assigned to engineering (life support I think according to the novelisation) as the ship would not have a formal position for an Earth historian.

Other than that, the only other female engineer we hear about nearly blew up Scotty in Wolf in the Fold until the Motion Picture.

IMHO the costume department had to dress the female characters according to colored shirt compositions. A historian should have worn Science blue instead of red, as should have done Mulhall, whereas Masters should have been dressed the other way round.

I don't do Facebook but did find the following cool pic from Nanjin:

I think it's entirely plausible that Masters could have been a physicist in blue but in the early draft, I think she might have been a biologist, so that might have influenced the uniform.

I agree, Mulhall should have been in blue. Not so sure about McGivers. She's not the A and A officer she's just an engineer with training in Earth history. Earth history is going to be pointless on a deep space mission so her primary posting on the ship is going to be something different.

I think the one you have taken an image of is the one I was thinking of. There are several different hair styles but if you are swapping hair it only matters if you have a use for the wig. Hot Toys did some official ones but good luck finding those. Fishnet pantyhose look good on the TOS ladies I think.

A Diana Rigg sculpt could work too. Good luck finding Mrs Peel though!

Tonia is waiting - besides other stuff like boots and Delta - for her regular black pantyhose, no fishnet, please!

Lol. If she's going full Sigma Iotia she should say 'dame' rather than woman. Perhaps fishnet was overstating the style... I think these would look good with your uniform. Boots are a bit trickier.

My Romulan Commander already has that kind of pantyhose, it is less than fishnet, of course. The boots won't be a too big deal, I already made the leather legging boots of Mara and the overknees of the Romulan commander. The height of the boot legs of the female Starfleet officers varied from very low (sometimes Uhura, Martha...) to just below the knees (Mira Romaine). Let's see what fits Tonia best...

I never cared for Yeoman Rand though. Always found her really annoying and immature with all the constant pouting she did on the show. Lol

Indeed!!! (and her hairdo was so incredibly and unlikely big like a beeyard, at least for a human non alien character.)

the Return of the Original Trek

Want to make TOS once and for all Space-Time Continuum in existence.

All new head sculpts, all new uniforms (backward compatible with compromise) The entire TOS line will be produced in-house.

....beating everyone before including myself and anyone come after me (I doubt this very much) in all galaxies and universes. Let me be the Q of 1/6 Trek universe

BTW, EXO-6 has the BEST looking Spock ever created on Earth (samething with the rest of the crew).

Nanjin. this seems to be a first or second season tunic in velours, it was shorter than the 3rd season tunics (that is what your Qmx figures were wearing).
"all new uniforms (backward compatible with compromise": so your 3rd season tunics will ne slightly different in color!? If so, please do gold rather than avocado since the tunics weren't green. You can see it in all outdoor scenes of TOS like Friday's Child. There is day- and sunlight and the command shirts look gold and not avocado.

There are so many TOS women I'd love to have in the collection someday (after Uhura of course):

Marlena Moreau
Helen Noel
Edith Keeler
Vina
Marla McGivers
T'Pring
Carolyn Palamas
Romulan Commander
Andrea the android
Number One

I never cared for Yeoman Rand though. Always found her really annoying and immature with all the constant pouting she did on the show. Lol

One of my favorites is Shahna from "Gamesters of Triskelion" played by the exotically beautiful Angelique Pettyjohn. I have a custom in storage that looks pretty good, but needs repainting and a few tweaks. I also had someone working on Carolyn and Apollo figures a while back.

I think I myself eventually will make Martha.

She was the first Trek character that I ever talked to at my first ever convention of any sort.

How about a head+outfit series for some characters?

Unfortunately, that actress did HC movies in the 80s.

The problem is S2 gold, everyone has a different expectation of the gold. Did a survey in 2015 LV Con. I had 7 different command gold colors screen capz for people to choose. All were chosen, all said the other 6 were wrong.

This is the problem with S2 Command Gold. Avocado for S3 is already a standard, changing this color will offend more than 70% of the customers.

Hmm, not sure how I feel about those new "velour-style" tops. I definitely prefer that look from the first two seasons, but the texture here seems too pronounced and it kinda looks more like he's wearing a thick fleece sweater.

Really looking forward to the new Spock sculpt though.:)

Agreed. I also prefer the velour shirts of S1 and S2 shows, they were shorter and did not make the torso look so much longer as they did in S3. Especially Kirk did not look good in it in S3, the tunic emphasizing his hollow back and belly.

Judging from the pic here, if Spock wears a S1 or 2 velour style shirt it really looks like french terry, and it is as long as S3 from QMx production. I'd not be happy with this.

The body type is a definite improvement from the QMX version. More lean but could be leaner.

Pants, boots and hands look great.

I'm just not sure about the material used on the tunic. I believe that in 1/6 scale, it should be less pronounced. I'm getting a terry-cloth impression from it.

Dude, the lengths of the S2 tunics change every 3-4 episodes because they were shrinking. Therefore, no correct length. Kirk's was so short that they had to use the Green Wrap through out the entire S2. (Shatner dry cleaned his every week, shrank a lot more than everyone else).

In my personal conclusion, I will only go with the standard set by Trek uniforms fandom because the rest are all individual preferences.

S2 uniforms that planned to do are ?simulation? of S2 Velour. This fabric reflects lights similar to actual fabric used. Only this simulated fabric has the similar Yellow that ?I? remember.

S3 will he surely Set Accurate to go along with cannon colors.

Nanjin, forget the shrinking issues of the tunics in S1 and S2, the tunics were nonetheless designed to be shorter. So to me your spock tunic looks too long.

Nanjin, see the pic of Spock in S1 The Conscience Of The King. No shrinking - the sleeves are reaching down just to the wrists - and the waist line is quite some inches above Spock's second (upper) rank braid. With your Spock the waist line is reaching down just to the first (lower) rank braid.

The velour might be a similar tissue to the original tunic but downsized to 1:6, I am sorry to say that: judging from your pic it looks rather like a wet poodle.

Pants and boots look like the QMx version, it'll be the new head sculpt - and the torso - that 'll be tickling my fancy.

Thanks anyway, Nanjin, for giving TOS a chance!!!
