Niether do I. I try to weigh in all options. I am like what one of my favorite comedians said about himself, Dave chapelle - "I am a conspiracy theorist to a degree." (You should check out what he says about the entertainment business)

I don't immediately assume things are a conspiracy. I am still trying to figure this one out.

..and yet...

The second suspect will not be caught alive. Conspiracy folks know the reason why.

Your strike rate is pretty good so far :lol

So what's this about people wanting to try them as "combatants?"

I don't see the desire to legitimize this kind of scum's "struggle" by placing them in this category. And for the record, I am a military officer and Afghanistan vet, in case you're wondering where I'm coming from.

Terrorists like this are criminals, not warriors.

Thank you for that. :)

Hey, it was bad call, bad call.. :lol

But that's usually how these chases have been ending lately, until now.

...and it would've ended as you said - but for different, non-conspiratorial reasons - had the suspect been better at administering a shot to the head. My understanding is that the wound in his neck was self-inflicted.

What... ...

It's not a fact, just something I heard on the radio. But another bit of info to keep tabs on as things become clearer.

From The Globe and Mail:

Officials said he was intubated and sedated, with injuries to his neck and tongue. They believe that he had tried to kill himself, based on the extent of the gunshot wound to his neck. The injury “had the appearance of a close range, self-inflicted style,” a senior law enforcement official told the New York Times. “He’s not in good shape.”

Forget about the bomber. The idea that they pointed guns at civilians doesn't sit right with me. I mean, they had a description of the guy, why are they aiming at people coming out of their homes? There wasn't a hostage situation from door to door.

I totally get they were looking for the kid, that's fine. But man, I didn't know the extent of it from these videos and pictures. I can see why people are *****ing. The irony of it is, they didn't even find him by locking that part of town down. It was only after they called it off, opened places back up and received a call from a neighbor who spotted him in a boat.

I went looking and there's a **** load of pics where the police are pointing their pistols and assault rifles at civilians. The scariest one is someone in their window snapping their pic of the police outside and one of them are aiming down their sights from a Humvee at the person taking the pic!

Yeah, and the media and police were trying to have everyone believe that it was the PUBLIC that was going to help THEM find this guy by reporting it. And then the police are going around doing these kinds of searches. What a joke.

Is there anything saying they forced there way into homes? I have not seen anything yet. If they knock on your door and ask can we search yr house and you say yes they need no warrant they were legally allowed into the home.

I personally think this was a neighborhood that truely understood the situation and those with nothing to hide were willing to good what they could to assit, be that staying home, allowing homes to be checked, etc..

Police had no right demanding people come out of their holmes, grabbing them as if they were criminals and searching without a warrant. I understand is was under serious circumstances, but that still doesn't change the fact.

There is a video on Liveleak of an entire swat team banging on a house's front door and yelling "everyone come out with their hands up NOW". There would have been big trouble if you exercised your right and told them to come back with a warrant, without a serious problem.

The problem is all it takes is a few times of police demanding being let in without a warrant and succeed before police realize/think they don't need them.

Thanks for your service.

Yes. Shame on those policemen for chasing a heavily armed suspect (who could have been hiding in someone's basement... or boat) and demanding families exit a potential fire fight situation. For shame.

As if what? As if they cared about the people in that house and what could happen to them? When are people going to learn, they don't care about you. They Don't care about you. They don't. They really don't. Forget ever thinking that they do.

Most of them do actually. I know quite a few, thank you very much.

And possibly wired with a bomb.

Yeah, they just go into law enforcement and the military for the good pay.

:sigh:

I know one guy who was an attorney makiing $100K+ per year who, after 9-11 quit to become a policeman, which he has been doing now for almost 6 years. Huge paycut. Yes, they clearly don't care. Very well said Chaver. :lecture

Exactly. You know one guy.. And he is compartmentalized, how could he care? He does what he's told.
