No offense intended, but I completely disagree. It was an indictment of McCain/Palin as nazis, and it was completely tasteless and irresponsible. And I am less than convinced that you would have laughed at all had Obama been the butt of the "joke".

Honestly, I would have been fine with Obama jokes on an animated show... wouldn't have bothered me. And it was not saying that McCain/Palin were Nazis, but rather that Nazis would vote for them. And that makes me laugh... because it's funny.

Seriously, if they had some peacenik begging for change on the sidewalk with an Obama/Biden pin... I would have laughed just as freakin hard.

That's the thing too... Family Guy has openly bashed a lot of things I absolutely love, and sometimes I don't agree with them. Same with South Park. But do I ever get bent out of shape about it? Nope. I don't care, it's just a cartoon show...

I would have laughed. Because I understand that it doesn't imply that the candidate is a Nazi or a jihadist, but rather that those stereotypical characters would vote for the candidate. Which is a funny joke to me, but then again... I am a twisted bastard.

Hey I love Family Guy.
I love South Park even more and that's far more pushy when it comes to controversy.

As far as I'm concerned, when it comes to comedy, satire and free speech... either everything is OK or none of it is OK. You can't start modifying and censoring ideas because they might offend people cause then the game is lost.

If you cant laugh along with it perhaps you need to develop a sense of humour...

Well on the whole if a Nazi (even Neo, Aryan, KKK etc.) were to vote in the upcoming election who do you think they'd support? My guess is old white guy... but I could be wrong.

So maybe not equating Republicans with Nazism, but illustrating the fact that if you are a racist then you would vote for McCain.
