You can spin it any way you want, but the implication is that McCain/the GOP and Republicans are Nazis. Sorry.

And by the way, if you're referring to the "Kill him" comment Obama referred to in the 3rd debate, according to Secret Service, it never happened. Not one person from that rally outside of the hack, leftist reporter who wrote about it, could confirm that comment. Not one single person. So your description is more than a little hyperbolic.

The truth is out there, you gotta dig for it but you can find it.

Since when did Family Guy ever go for a "Fair, and witty" joke? If they offend you, they win.

Family Guy WINS.

Well, actually, I think they lose. Because, you see, I am not actually offended by their inane attempts at offensive humor. I am, however, concerned that so many impressionable carbon blobs believe that there is some truth to their message.

It is profoundly ignorant posts like this one that are the problem, and why some of us are upset that the producers of a vapid cartoon show work so tirelessly to reinforce such ignorance.

...and, yet, your avatar yesterday was rather unnessesary and offensive.

Let face it, most of the people in this thread are acting childish. Let's just let the American voters decide Nov 4th. In the meantime, let's tone down this BS that is ubiquitous in the Other Topics section.

If you don't like what Family Guy has said, don't watch it anymore, or write a letter to the creators of the show. Please spare us the complaints here.

We can't complain about Family Guy in a thread titled "Family Guy:McCain/Palin-Nazi's"? Yes sir. Moving along.

The hate and threat of violence at McCain rallies has scared the crap outta me as it should all Americans. It's not often I hear such open bigotry, rascism and calls for assassinations like that. And yes, not all Republicans are like that just as not all Nazi supporters were evil. Most were average, decent, hard working people who's fears and prejudices were manipulated and played upon through the rhetoric of lies, misconceptions and a strong sense of nationalism, "country first" if you will. Seems a bit Nurembergish to me. John McCain is a better man than that.

So because there were "good Nazis", there must be some good Repulicans too? Gee, thanks Chicken. I feel so much better now.

If you really think there's anything even remotely close to the Nazi party in the GOP, you have either re-defined fascism/Naziism, or you're ignorant of the term.

Actually, the widespread anti-conservative hate and propaganda rampant in the country (and even in this forum) right now are far more terrifying to me than anything said by a few malcontents.

Like I stated in an earlier post, I've experienced it first hand. I guarantee you have not seen anything like the pack of rabid idiots outside Republican campaign appearances. I DARE you to wade into the midst of those idiots pretending to be a Republican. You'll see what hate and lynch mobs are all about.

Look, I agree it is rampant. I think the administration has made many mistakes in the past 8 years, but I do not doubt President Bush was trying to keep the country safer. That said, it is a hard thing to do to defend the last 8 years of the Bush admin. Not saying all of it was his fault, I think his problem was who he surrounded himself with. But, nonetheless, he will go down as one of the worst presidents in history, regardless if it is true or deserved. I knew the GOP was in trouble when there was little mention (and no appearance) of President Bush at the RNC. And when McCain, at GOP rallies, talks about how different he will be than President Bush, how he is NOT him, and get's cheered for it by Republicans, I knew that many people will always have a negative opinion of him, even those in the GOP. Frankly, I feel a bit sorry for him, but it is what it is.

It also would have helped him a bit more if he was not so prone to saying really dumb things...I honestly think his lack of eloquence may have hurt him more than anything (look what it is doing to Palin).

Of course Republicans aren't the same as Nazis. Just comparing the steady stream of right wing hate and threats of violence that I've heard and been a victim of, not necessarily the political ideologies.

Not heard any Dems call for the lynching or murder of McCain & McCain supporters or calling him names like maggot or such. I haven't heard about Dems running people with McCain/Palin stickers off the road, slashing their tires or refusing Republicans entrance to their parking lots or businesses like I have heard that has happened to Obama supporters. But that must be the liberal elite media not reporting it, right?

Let me rephrase that: Spare us the complaints, here on a collectibles board. This thread should be locked like all the other political ones.

It was offensive, by design, to prove a point, not about Obama or McCain, but about how offensive commentary under the banner of "JUST KIDDING" is still offensive. I thought I made that fairly clear in the post where I introduced the image:

https://sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1221879&postcount=15

So what, exactly is your reason for bringing that up here?

Remember when people posted here about collectibles instead of trying to make points?

Oh, I agree with you. I wasn't talking about Bush, I was talking about conservatives in general. Comparing us, on any conceivable level, with the nazi party in WWII Germany is terrifying. It makes me wonder how many of the people who feel that way would want to take away my rights, and maybe even (in some extreme cases) remove me from society.

..and yet you post in here of your own free will:rolleyes:

OK, so let me get this straight: I can't post "complaints" in the "Non-Collectible discussion" section of a collectibles board?
