You can't really compare that. Though Bale should've handled it differently, his acting was being interfered with. It wasn't like the guy looked him in the eye and he got pissed off.

And at least he apologized to the guy.

:lecture:lecture:lecture I think we've all snapped at someone pestering us while we're trying to concentrate. :exactly:

I'm of the opinion NIN followed in Ministry's footsteps.

NIN is like Ministry for kids, or a "PG 13" Ministry :rotfl:rotfl

It really isn't, though. NIN's first album was more pop than anything else, their second was more metal than anything else, and everything that came after was... well... too diverse to properly label. I wouldn't know what to call The Downward Spiral or The Fragile, but I definitely wouldn't compare either of those to Ministry. Reznor himself said his biggest influences were Bowie and Gary Numan and even those were like conceptual jumping-off points. I can understand comparing the early underground live shows to, say Skinny Puppy, but after '92 that ship sailed. I certainly wouldn't refer to it as PG-13 either.

If anything, KMFDM sounds more like Ministry for kids. Their '80s stuff, anyway. I still like them as they're a fun band nevertheless.

I can tell you're a balls-out NIN fan. But to tell you the truth, NIN's pretty much always sounded "industrial." Reznor definitely leans other directions with different albums, but that's always been there. I agree though that it was definitely more pronounced on Spiral.

Yeah, I suppose I'm pretty obvious. :lol:lol:lol
I'll agree with that, though. Every one of his albums is cacophonous in one way or another, even if not in the typical '80s sense.

True. I was referring more to his overreacting than his reason for doing so.

And I just came to the realization that Alec Baldwin has not been mentioned once in this thread. I guess that goes without saying, though. If anyone screams "unwarranted sense of entitlement" it's him.

I've only heard about his bouts with the press, which can be pretty bad at times, but then they hounded him on purpose alot. I feel for some of them when the press is in their face and trying to get a reaction. TMZ is annoying like that. And they ask the dumbest damn question. I can't blame people for punching them in the face.

I said it before I like some of NIN songs, but NIN got ruined because my Gf would listen to it, all the time, she cheated on me, so, totally tainted... :monkey4

Only person I've met that wasn't that nice was an artists, Chris Uminga, at Heroes Con in NC. However, it may just have been because he was in a hurry. Other than that I have yet to meet anyone who was total jerk to me.

:lol I'll never let a girl come between me and my music. She hates it, I turn it up! Hence why the wifey no longer *****es when I'm listening to Rammstein. :lol

no, what happened is that everytime I listen to NIN I get reminded of her, not only as memories, but I get that stupid feeling, inside,

I think the whole "Trent carried him" argument is highly overrated. Manson didn't even come into his own really until Antichrist, long after any ties between NIN and MM were severed. Though, honestly, you want to talk about an egotist, Trent certainly takes the cake. :lol

Everyone I know that has worked with Trent or knows him personally says he is one of the nicest people around. This of course is after he cleaned himself up about 8 or 10 years ago.

You should better appreciate NIN then. Trent's been crying about Tori Amos for decades now. :lol

One thing that I've heard that really annoys celebrities immensely is when people constantly quote their movies in front of them. So if you see Jack Nicholson at a restaurant try not to yell "You can't handle the truth" or tell Arnold in front of his kids "Get to the Choppa" "I'll be back". They may give you a courtesous smile, but I guarantee they are thinking "that F'N prick"

yeah it probably gets really old after a while, specially if people are quoting the Same movie over and over,
that is so annoying that Biff from Back to the Future made a song about it
so that when people ask him the same stupid questions he just plays the song lol

When we were getting Carrie Fisher's autograph at WonderCon, two dorks cut in front of the huge line of those waiting for Mark's autograph and walked up to Mark Hamill and acted out the "Father" scene of Empire. They thought they were just cool as **** and Carrie facepalmed while Mark sat there like he'd just caught whiff of a cat fart. :lol

I hate people like that, I really really hate people like that,
people that think that they are so funny, making retarded jokes,
God I hate those people

They weren't making jokes though. I think they were actually hoping to impress Mark enough to give them a free autograph. Saw the same kinda thing at SuperCon where a few dweebs absolutely refused to speak English to Marina Sirtis, instead preferring to shout Klingon in her face expecting her to understand them. :cuckoo:

Ministry > Nine Inch Nails.

Even the old school new wave stuff.

That's about all I can say related to the subject matter of this thread :lol I couldn't care less about celebrity personality traits and behavior outside of the entertainment medium.
