Can't really say he's a jerk or just playing the part since he is known to be this way, Bruce Campbell.
A few years back, he was at a Monstermania convention in NJ. Me, my wife and my friend was excited to meet him in person. After an almost 3 hour wait in line, we finally entered the room. The man was behind a horse shoe shape table looking to like he did not want to be there. We were not allowed to go next to him, but remain on the other side of the table, he acted like he didn't want to be there and you had to give your camera to a security guard to have you picture taken. Very sour experience, but from what I read and hear, he's always this way.

Not sure, never heard about that one. If that's the case, I can understand the part of not allowing fans to be close to him which is fine, but he just didn't feel like he was being somewhat grateful towards his fans. Maybe he was just having a bad day? Probably will not bother attending one of his signings again though. I'll just stick to watching his movies

I'm just telling you from experience growing up around South Florida Local music. He tended to be a bit whiny, and had an ego. Of course he ended up being the biggest thing to come out of the scene too, so maybe it was justified.
edit: To be honest though, he's not as bad as Danzig. Talk about a Napoleon Complex.

Wanted to share this story with you. My friend Kevin worked as production assistant and then eventually in casting, and one weird thing that he told me was lots of celebrities do not like for anyone to look at them in the eye. If an extra or any worker gives them eye contact, they will scream and cuss out that person in front of everyone, or on other occasions they will refuse to perform all together until that person has been ejected and/or fired. To this day he doesn't know why; he said they just F'N freak out like wild animals.

From the media, maybe, but the fans, I still know people that won't listen to post-Danzig Misfits....come to think of it, neither will I.
But hey, he is who he is. Funny enough, one of the best experiences I had with national bands, Cannibal Corpse, they all about hanging out and talking music, good people.
