Sounds like you live in a world of extremes. People are either honest *******s or nice liars. Awful costumes or carbon copies of the Tim Story films. That's a false dilemma because there are many options outside of the extremes you present. And as kara said who cares about honesty when all it does is show how stupid or clueless they are. Oh good you're honest about being an ******* who thinks the characters and fans suck. How adorable. Now go away.

To be honest, most of the fans do suck. Why do you consider the cast stupid or clueless?

Toby never read any of the Spidey comics when he was casted as Spidey nor did he care too, and those movies turned out just fine, well the first 2 at least.

I don't see what's wrong with preferring honesty from actors, why should these guys always have to kiss up to these so-called fans? Most of the Internet is full of self entitled cry babies, at the end of the day he's right, most of the people crapping on this movie will go see it, and they will help the sequel get green lit, then they'll go back to crying about how Marvel should have the rights back.

Please tell me, whats actually so bad about what he said?

Insulting people whose business you're trying to earn: Stupid.

Assuming that the subject matter will draw people in regardless of how well or poorly the subject is presented: Clueless.

And again with the extremes. Actors must either insult or ass kiss? No in between huh?

Stay classy, Josh. :wave

Josh Trank = Oscorp?

What difference does it make if a production accurately matches source material if the source material is idiotic in the first place? "Don't judge the FF because it's an accurate adaptation of the stupidest version from the comics." Huh?

And last I checked Johnny isn't black in the Ultimate comics so it sounds like they aren't doing a good job of even being true to that source.

Never said it was completely true to the source. Every comic book movie makes changes from the source but the fact is this is ultimate based not 616 based so if comparing it should be compared to the correct source.

Might not be accurate but could still be a great movie same as it could be very accurate but crap the two are separate things.

Starlord for example was basically in name only but it didn't matter in the end as he was a cool character who popped

Actually, he looks like the Absorbing Man.

:lol :lol

However....

Based on everything I've read and heard about this production I just think the director and at least one of the main actors (Jordan) are tacky pompous jerks who have some degree of contempt for their audience. So for that reason alone I think they can take this movie and shove it up their *****.

If they have contempt that contempt was attained thought the actions and comments of that audience. From day one they bitched about Jordan calling his race into question which for a Young actor must've hurt, while some have been against the movie since announcement and refused to give it any chance.

If I was them I'd say "**** the fans" too since all they've done is be jerks who hate me before seeing my work on the project

Why be nice to people who hate you for something they haven't even seen yet

You talk of extremes. I think boycotting a movie because of one comment from an actor is an extreme. And it's not like he's wrong in that people who complain over comic book movies and blockbusters won't go to see them in the end.

90% of those hating on Batfleck will be there to see it. 90% of those complaining about the silly new Lightsaber will be there to see it. So naturally for most people who complained about casting a non-white actor in a role will go to see it

So since I don't respect the vision or attitude of the people making this film I don't see any need to be optimistic or on board with whatever crap they want to throw in our faces. If they make a decent movie I'm sure I'll catch it someday but Jordan's comment alone has ensured that I won't be paying to see this in the theater.

For me film content > behind the scenes politics.

I watch movies for the story on the screen not for the people behind the cameras. Same with Music. I think Michael Jackson was a criminal but still love his music.

Gotta respect that kind of honesty though. There's this one guy I know, biggest a-hole you'll ever see. Just a horrible, despicable person with almost no redeeming qualities. Pretty sure he would kill you as soon as look at you. Kicks babies, shoots puppies for sport. But he doesn't deny any of that. Gotta respect the **** out of his honesty.

Well I would definitely prefer that guy to one who kisses puppies' live *****. That's the only alternative you know.

How did he insult them? By not kissing their ass?

What extremes? All I said is I prefer when actors are honest because it's a rare thing these days, the rest of the cast has pretty much been in the middle and I have no problem with that.

Sorry to make another analogy but Hugh Jackman did his research for Wolverine when he got casted and that couldn't save X-Men Origins or X3, as much I like Jackman he sucked in both of those movies.

No matter how many comics Robert Downey reads for Iron Man, he's still going to play himself, it worked for IM1 but not the sequels. Reading the comics won't make the movie better or worse and really shouldn't mean a thing to fans. The script and direction is all that matters.

Synopsis was accurate enough to the Ultimate comics, but up until recently, every superhero film has been allowed to draw inspiration from the Ultimate universe except for the Fantastic Four, I can't blame Fox for not knowing that. Based on everything released so far, I think the film sounds like it'll be just as accurate to the source material as any other Marvel film.

Saw an interview with Pratt where he said something like Gunn didn't want them (or just him not sure) looking at the comics. Didn't stop the movie being great

Avengers was basically The Ultimates. The OT Spider-Man had MJ before Gwen and it's villains were more from Ultimate in their look or origin

Only things I can see changed so far is Doom and that Johnny and Suie are non-biological siblings. Everything else seems accurate to UFF and that amount of changes like you said isn't any more or less than most Marvel movies

We're just not willing to dismiss the movie before seeing footage. For some reason that position however logical is the minority

Repped!

Your problem with Jordan is from that one comment when he said 'they'll go to see it anyway' correct?

If so how is that Insulting the audience?

He simply expresses understanding of fanboys. That they hate on movie news but in the end still to to see it.

Heimdall as a black Man, X-Men Days of Future Past costumes ect prove he's right and Batfleck & the Crossguard Lightsaber will cement it
