Mark Miller the writer guy but he's gone Hollywood too. said:
Josh Trank the guy who is directing it, is a really smart guy. He and I spent a wee bit of time together when I was first doing this job, about a year and a half ago. And, what I think Fox is doing is very clever. They'll get a great director on board. Like, a lot of people trust the character and just think this brand is going to be fine. But you can't trust the brand because the brand can be done badly, you know. But if you get a good director that is the cornerstone you build everything on. And with Bryan Singer doing the X-Men or James Mangold doing The Wolverine, Josh Trank doing Fantastic Four - it all feels in very good hands. It all comes down to the director. It's the same characters in all of these movie but the work stands or falls based on the director, and Josh is fantastic! What he is going to do is unlike anything anyone is anticipating. There is a cut kicking around but I haven't seen it yet. So, I'm expecting big things.

Translation: "I'm the consultant and they won't even show it to me. Do the f'king math."

Watch it again. Inception is a chore to see multiple times. Actually, don't. If you liked it the first time, don't watch it again.

You think TDKR scenes are bad with the exposition on new viewings? Holy crap. Just try and see how long you can last Ellen Page and Leo discussing limbo. Hnnnggg!

You're too nitpicky bruh because it's Nolan.

Fact is the man hasn't made a BAD movie yet. I didn't like Insonmnia, Inception, and I didn't even enjoy Memento as much as everyone else did, but I think he's easily in the top 10 best directors working today, so I don't get all the overrated chants people like to shout about him.

Spielberg, Scorsese, and Tarantino are in my top 10 currently working as well, I don't love every single one of their movies but they certainly have enough quality on the resume to prove they're great directors, Nolan is in the same league. After TDKR, a film that made over a billion dollars and was critically acclaimed you had people comparing him to Riddley Scott, that's insane.

Maybe I'm ranting because I'm the worlds biggest Nolanite, but I'm worried when he actually does make a terrible film what people are going to say, I guess the Michael Bay comparisons will come soon after.

Here are his Rotten Tomatoes %

The Dark Knight 94%
Insomnia 92%
Momento 92%
The Dark Knight Rises 88%
Inception 86%
Batman Begins 85%
Following 78%
The Prestige 76%
Interstellar 72%

Pretty impressive considering modern films get over 200 reviews compared to old films, which get less than 100 reviews, giving them higher scores.

Wait, is Human Torch and Invisi-Girl still brother and sister in that?

Their suits might look like this, and would probably makes sense for the story.

They won't be superheroes until the end of the film, so we'll probably see their consumes at the end or in the sequel.

^ :goodpost:

It'll happen sadly but people shouldn't look at their containment suits as an adaption of the 616 costumes and call them crappy adaptions when they aren't supposed to be those costumes. There's more than one version of Fantastic Four

Only reasonable thing is to compare them against the containment suits they've worn like those above not something else.

It'd be like calling the Batman Begins costume horrible because it looks nothing like the Adam Wests Batman costume or saying that Amazing Spider-Man was nothing like Spider-Man noir and holding that against it.

Judge them against what they're based on not what they're not based on
