If you're waiting for the news letter to come to your e-mail you're not very bright. Everyone ( who follows SS as more than a casual fan ) know to sign on to the site and keep refreshing until you can see the news letter before it hits e-mail.

If you don't want to do that then don't complain when you miss out.

So what time do you think would be best for everyone?

Im sure there's a time which would be a better compromise. Who knows, but I dont think 3am for us in the UK and 4am for those in central europe is.

Well SS is a US based company....so sure lets have them make it easier for the EU collectors and harder for the US collectors.....:monkey1

Personally, i dont monitor newsletters... but good luck to those who do.

btw, im not complaining that i missed out... jus saying that they should release the newsletter at a reasonable time for the bulk of its customer base.

I missed it and I am +++++*ing furious!! Why was the news letter EARLY this week was there a warning it would have been? Normally the news letter comes out here in the early hours of Friday morning because of the time differences which is when most of us are asleep over here so its not really fair to EU people. SS I am so pissed off you should have had an EU/Rest of World Presale and a US sale but as usual you don't really give a s**t about your EU collectors!!:mad::mad:

We should all have been notified with something like this and AT LEAST given a crack at the ordering process, which would mean if you didn't get one then it was because you just were not fast enough but an EARLY newsletter with no warning of what it would be on a 50 piece item and released on PT time to boot, NAH that pisses me off SS.
And for the record before anyone starts ranting on about tantrums and name calling I am not pissed at anyone on here, I am just angry I missed this as I don't feel it was a fair presale and I was one who would actually have KEPT this one.

Now you know why my name is WRATH!!!!
Well done to all of you who got one though its a fine piece.

I can totally relate to your post, really. I'm usually not much of a whiner myself, but it would have been at least "polite" (if we can use a word like that in combination with a company) if we "all" got a shot at trying to get one of these (kinda like a Priority Pre Order or something). Now I feel very left out of the entire game. If there would have been a PPO, and I still wouldn't have been able to get one, I wouldn't feel as "angry" as I am now, since we now had no chance of getting one whatsoever.

The thing that upsets me the most is that probably half of these will eventually end up on Ebay for insane prices (look at the item mentioned in an earlier post), instead of finding their way to the homes of collectors who actually want to own the piece because they like it.

Oh well, nothing we can do about it now. But as I said: it would have been nice if SS had paid a little more attention to their EU costumers in this case. There have been PPO's in the past at a time of day that was suitable for both US citizens as well as EU citizens (which would be on a Saturday mostly), so it is possible.

You must be fed-up posting smileys and making photos all day.

Do you know what the "bulk" of their customer base is? Probably the US. I do empathize with our EU collectors, but I do have one question... every time this happens, we hear something to the effect of "I can't stay up until 3 or 4 in the morning!" My question is this, Why are you staying up??? Why not go to bed at your usual time and set your alarm to get up for the newsletter? Not a perfect solution, but far better than staying up all night.

Stop making sense. Your punishment for making sense in this thread: no posting for 10 minutes.:monkey1

Exactly. I have wondered the same thing. What do they mean "stay up" until 4am? I get up at 5am to go to work. I could get up another hour early for the newsletter if I wanted to. These guys obviously don't want the piece. :lol

I think Sideshow should just give up on Europe as a market. They are worthless ingrates.

Since when is someone who is willing to pay secondary price's for a statue not a real collector? Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure someone willing to purchase this on the secondary market is willing to do so because they really do like it. Unlike so may of the "true collectors" out there who are only willing to buy something at retail or less. :lol

Hhmm, true but some people have work the next day and its just too much hassle. But then, if they really want something, stay up.

How about doing it 4 hours earlier, so 11pm for EU'ers and 3pm for US'ers... less hassle for all, except i suppose those who dont have access to a pc at work.
