We'll see. It has been my experience that a flip isn't even worth it if you won't make a bunch of money.

The time and effort involved is worth quite a bit as well. For example, being home to sign for the package, listing it on ebay, and then going to the post office or UPS store and standing in line to mail it off.

I have no problem with the flippers but I am just seeing this as a no money situation to be honest. LOTR has been on a heavy decline in popularity and to I don't see it picking up anytime soon. Plus, LOTR fans aren't like Marvel or Star Wars fans. There are fewer and they are older and stingier with their money.

Good luck guys. It sounds like more of a hassles than it is worth to me. :monkey5
I don't have to be home for my fedex guy. I can leave a note. The fedex store I go to is 10 minutes away and there is rarely more than one person there. Not much of a hassle for me.:lol

I will definitely be checking ebay on this one. If a limited Star Wars piece with an ES of 100 is not bringing in the fat flipping cash then this one doesn't really stand a chance. :ogat:ogat

But the thing to keep in mind is, pieces don't appreciate instantaneously they take time, look at the original balrog, i'm pretty sure that the yoda vs dooku in six months to year will spike just as all low es pieces do IMO.

Maybe when Clone Wars gets released.

:lol Let's get this thread back on track.

Nah rory, this will gain a $125 profit easily out of the gate, and go up slowly from there. 50 is pretty hard to come by.

I have to agree with El Roranous. If this line was to really take off profit wise :)rolleyes:), it would have begun with the dios at 750 pieces/ES. Only small rise has been with several Weta pieces.

I do bet, that since they released a F.Bronze EX, the price on the regular Fell/Eagle will steadly drop off on the secondary market.

I don't agree, remember there is only 50 ;)

You have a valid point but then one must also consider, if they have no interest in the piece, they still have to store it or maintain it. Plus, if a flipper is dumb enough to use a credit card to buy and store pieces then they have to factor in the interest that they will be paying which will exponentially increase as well. Best thing to do if you are a flipper is to sell right away before the market gets flooded and people lose interest. Some pieces with a low ES don't always go up in price. It all depends on the market to be honest and like I said before the market is just not there for this type of product in my opinion. It sure is there for Sideshow but for a reseller to resell at a much higher price...umm no. After all the fees and hassle most will likely break even....if they are lucky. :google

IF they don't pay their balance off ;), but I do see your point and it does make sense, only time will tell :)

The credit card interest is of no concern to me either, since the card I use is 0% and will be paid off by the time the 0% is over. I also get offers for other 0% interest cards all the time. I have never paid interest on a credit card.

Thats the best way to go.

I agree. I could be wrong as well and this could be a smash hit. You never know. I am often surprised with what things sell for. The green Hulk barely sells for above retail while a little Hicks figure sells for a grand!:google

I know when something increases in value to a point I can't ignore I always sell. My whole theory is that there is always a peak in price and I would always rather get more than less. If I have regrets later I just will rebuy during a low point in the market. A tangent but I just thought I would spill my guts. :lol

This isn't personal handrail. :lol

Going by the bold text, you might want to reread that. I was refering to the regular edition, heh

1200 = savings on ebay.

I know :). my point is that since there is VERY FEW faux bronze, the people who never got one are going to keep the colored version and hence should have no factor on price drop but yeah there probably will be savings but not by much IMO, only time will tell :lol
