Yup, it's probably cause it affects their transmissions like Crows says.

It's weird though, since it's been used like since forever.

It actually has a "kid friendly" version :lol which is "SUSTO!" which means "fright", you see kids at stadiums yelling "susto" instead of the other thing and they really can't tell the difference when everybody shouts the other thing, for them it's just "susto" :lol

I guess people were not loud enough that it would get picked up by the cameras before.

I can understand that they need a clean video to show to the world, thousands of tv stations are getting the signal, so I get why.
But I really hate that they are making such a big deal about it and that they are adding more weight to the word. They are kind of digging their own grave at this point because the fans have said they are going to scream "SUSTO" Even louder now.

Hmm. Homophobic, racist, profane chants or vuvuzelas... I guess my support for human rights does have its limits after all.

To quote a famous song by Roy Orbison...'I cried all night!' after Italy's dismal performance against Costa Rica :( now it's all down to Tuesdays game against Uruguay where we have to get a least a point to qualify into the second round. Can anyone give me any confidence or words of reassurance that we can still do it?

If England can score a goal against Uruguay, surely you guys can get a couple. :)

The beautiful, swan-diving, debonair Azzurri will vanquish the dirtiest, foulingest, cheatingest team in world football. If Italy can win from a saved penalty awarded from a deliberate handball in the dying seconds of the game then there truly is a football god.

Haha, true. Do you think Prandelli will park the bus or still go for goals?

Mate, Prandelli is getting slaughtered in the Italian press for making unnecessary changes. I also questioned this when seeing the team he put out against Costa Rica. A number of us Italians watching the game actually thought Sirigu had a great game against England and deserved to stay in goal despite Buffon being the captain. I actually don't rate Buffon :( plus he removed Veratti for Tiago Motta which was a defensive move right there. Yes the heat played a massive factor but they way in which they couldn't string a few passes together was so fustrating to say the least. To cap it all off they brought on Cassano who actually looked exhausted after 10 mins of coming on :slap

Not sure what Prandelli will do, not sure which Italy will turn up...one thing I do know is that if they don't buck up their ideas in the next game then they are going home and I for one will be saying good riddance to them! Had enough of this BS every tournament!! It's never ever straight forward with Italy and they always make a drama out of qualifying :(

It's good to hear an Italian perspective, all I've been hearing at the moment are British pundits. If he's getting slaughtered then rightly so, surely you would stick with the same team that won you 3 points rather than making changes. Interesting as to why he did that, I guess the 3-1 Costa Rica win influenced him heavily. Fair enough I guess, but still puzzling.

And to be honest, he deserves to get slaughtered for the Cassano sub alone. :lol I don't expect to see him in the next match. Why isn't El Shaarawy in the squad? Wasn't he performing well for Milan or is he injured?
