Xeno didn't do anything wrong in my eyes at all, he spoke very well about it... And Devil wasn't really doing anything too wrong either, things just got out of hand with defense and responding offense.

First of all let me clarify this .... Im not a JC Hong fan boy.
But i do know that if you take that particular Joker head he painted recently and take a macro pic with flash on it'll still look good. Not perfect but still look good!

I didn't mean anything I said to sound offensive. I was just using Hong's Joker as an extreme example. I was just saying that a flash can really distort a good paint job (and a figure in general) that looks great to the naked eye. I don't view my collection lit with a camera flash, so I just dismiss most pics taken with a flash anyway. I view non-flash pics to be closer to what the figure will look like on my shelf. Again, nothing I said was meant to be taken as offensive.

Just to clarify:

1. I'm not the customer in question. I've never purchased anything from Les.

2. My opinion on that Deniro paint job being "crappy" is based off the other pic Les posted of a different one he also painted up (and I could swear I saw another photo of another Deniro head Les painted. Could be wrong!?) Taken on it's own I think it's fine, but having another Deniro head, painted BY Les to compare it to.. yeah I'd say that one looked like crap. It's my opinion.

3. We all have personal stuff going on. That doesn't mean we should bite our tongues, walk on egg shells and flat out LIE to people just to make them feel "better". That does more harm than good. I would like to think Les appreciates honest feedback and legitimate criticism of his work. All artists do. That's how you perfect your craft. I'm not trying to cause any trouble.. that wasn't my intention. But this is a discussion board and as far as I could tell I'm free to post in every open thread here. As a Member. If not, no problem. Please pm me a list of threads I can't post in and a list of members I shouldn't talk with for fear of speaking my mind and offering an honest opinion which will never be sugar coated.


Feel free to delete every post I've made in here. If it's considered offensive or too harsh. It's not a problem. I still stand behind my opinion and everything I said to Les in here is real. I meant every word.
