Sideshow's t-800. Not nearly as cool as I thought it was going to be.

I regret buying DX Batman. I know this is a wonderful figure, but the one I received had a major crater in the plastic chest and the arm bands were glued on sideways and was leaking oil (but thats normal) I have since mailed it back to Toys2 at my own expense and am still waiting for a replacements. I am currently $246 in the hole and have nothing to show for it :sick

I just wish I waited for the DC Direct shipment but I really don't believe the oil problem will be fixed anyway

Kinda sorta regret these:

-Hot Toys Aliens Warrior
-Hot Toys Dog Alien
-Hot Toys AvP:R Predators and Alien
-Hot Toys Iron Man Mark III (colours fading already)
-a 2nd Hot Toys Batman version 1 TDK suit...although I suppose I do have a use for it.

-McFarlane Austin Powers line
-McFarlane Movie Maniacs - all the ones from films I have zero interest in and only bought for completists sake
-Moore Action collectibles Buffy the Vampire Slayer figures
-N2 TOys Matrix figures!
-Hasbro Star Wars prequels toys, could have avoided a whole lot of temptation ever since - and all despite me really hating those films

I always regret buying my old collection, whatever I was collecting when I shift focus.

Right now I'm collecting 1/6 figures and so I regret the statues and smaller figures I have bought since I've lost interest in those.

Especially the comic-based ones.

The Hellboy comicbook line was phenomenal, still some of my favourite figures, but Mezco killed it with delays and poor character selection, especially Series 2. Instead of admitting their mistake and putting out a sure-fire Series 3 with all the characters people really wanted, they killed it. At least they made Abe Sapien.

approximately 300-400 hasbro Star wars figures :rotfl, I have those little suckers stashed in every nook & cranny around the house. But seriously, Probably my 3 SSC LOTR figs, not because there bad, but because I don't have the room for them to be displayed properly.

Only on the recent purchase - probably HT Mars Attack's Martian Ambassador. He is neither here nor there in my display shelf... impulse! impulse!! - must curb!

All the Toybiz Marvel action figures I was buying back in the day, before they had Marvel Legends. All the Joyride Halo figures I was collecting, including variants. All the McFarlane Aliens/Predator figures that broke coming out of the package...

Basically, any plastic action figures I collected before I got into 1:6, and then finally 1:4 scale PFs. The only ones I don't regret buying are the Simpsons World of Springfield toys from Playmates, and those are just collecting dust in my crawlspace at the moment.

I regret all the Star Wars Gentle Giant mini busts I have. I look at them now and the paint is awful, the poses are kinda lame. I paid full price for these and most of them I could only get a third back on ebay, so now I am kinda stuck with them. The Boba Fett rocks, but Gentle Giant sucks too, I have sent them several emails with questions and I never got one response, I just stopped buying there crap.

Hot Toys Aliens Warrior has joined my group... cool looking figure, but the extra ____ty body just ruins it.

My complete collection of Hasbro Rise of Cobra. I know, I know, I deserve it. But I was just so excited to see Joe's on the big screen. I couldn't sell these to save my life now and they sit in a box inthe garage.

Come to think of it, now that I'm getting the SS Joe's my complete 25th ann, are looking kinda cross too. lol

I have an HT Predator cleaner that looks so out of place. It was the very first figure I got when entering the 1/6 world and I bought because it was in stock. I had the Joker and Batman stuff ordered but before I got too crazy I wanted to see what they were like. I was amazed when he arrived and gave me that first 1/6 figure high, so my hats off to the little guy for that but now that I'm nose deep in this stuff he's put to the side. Like an old girlfriend that meant the world to you now is just an awkward moment when you pass each other by.
:(

lol haha i hear that! Never really regret any of the figures I've bought but if i had to pick to it would probs be my custom hot toys war machine (still awesome but of course the offical HT one has now been announced and its far better)

Hot Toys Deunan Knute. It's a beautiful figure and I was seduced by the character design enough to buy it. But once I got her, she just did not fit in with the rest of my collection, and I had no emotional connection to her, never having gotten into any of the Appleseed movies or comics. I bought her purely on looks.

I ended up selling her on ebay and got back pretty much what I paid, so it was no loss in the end. I did learn a valuable lesson, though. Only buy what I am emotionally invested in, what I absolutely love. Don't get swayed by what's on the outside--it's what's on the inside that counts! ;)

That is a very good point... usually I can enjoy even a sub-par figure if I really like the license. But usually even if the figure is great, if I don't care for/about the property it'll be a fail.

I have hundreds of Hasbro SW figures that take up so much storage space. Except for Boba Fett -he can take up as much space as he wants. Also regret...

-McF's Austin Powers line.
-Palisades Reservoir Dogs 12" figure. Took me forever to sell them.
-Most any McFarlane figure. 99% of them loose value over time.
-the TON of Toy Biz Marvel figures still in their original boxes. Don't know if I can ever sell them. This was my 1st line I ever collected.
