I have NO problem with people selling an item or a preorder to flip for a profit as long as they are not ***** about it. However, people acting like jerks in the commerce section has been going on for a very long time...

Here are the top three you will see:

1. Charity: "Please help out a fellow collector" or "You are charging too much above retail" complaints. When I sold my Hot Toys Predators several years ago, I had several people contact me with offers $100-$300 below what they were going for on eBay and then would want to argue with me when I told them no. You may also have people beg you to hold it until they have the money. One way to deal with this is to put in your auction, "LOWBALL OFFERS WILL BE IGNORED- Please don't waste both of our time" and "I will only hold the item for X days if you give me a nonrefundable 10% gift-deposit through paypal."

2. Bait and Switch: Another problem you will see is people agree to sell an item for one price and then want to raise the price when other people contact them or when they decide that their original asking price was too low. I have had that happen SEVERAL times; particularly with items that is in high demand or preorders. Nothing beats the guy who agreed to sell me a Hot Toys Predator for a certain price and agreed to meet me at Frank & Sons, then he changed his mind and wanted to charge me $75 for shipping when he lives 30 minutes away.

3. Anti-Flipper-Whiners: We all know one, the person who goes on and on about scalpers, collectible inflation, and posting in WTS threads about how high the price is. The mods have gotten pretty good at dealing with these.

:lol When you say a dollar , they say 50 cents . i know what you mean.

Everything i have ever sold on here , i got PM'ed with a lower price than what i was asking for.

WTF everything i ever sold , i was lowballed a bit :gah:

If my asking price is $190.00 - don't ask me if i will sell it for $150.00 shipped

if i wante dto sell it for that low of a price , i would have listed it at a lower price - i love when they include Free shipping to Antartica

I do not mind offers although I rarely accept them, but its how its handled.

Hey, I wanted to offer you x amount for item is fine.

But theres people who actually send ____ like "Hey I'll give you x amount, thats totally fair for what its going for, send me your info." Not the way to get my attention.

I agree. I don't mind people sending offers as long as they are reasonable and don't involve _____ing, moaning, persuasive essays, ebay links, or arguments.

That's what bothers me, "Oh, you responded to my PM? Deal. Send me your info." Dude, I am answering your question, that in no way constitute a deal except in your own head. I'm just not going to respond to inquiries anymore.

I was selling some extra parts off last month. A guy offered to buy a jacket and knife from me and wanted a discount even though shipping was included in my pricing. I replied, "okay, but it will take me 23 days to ship it out".

This was obviously meant to say 2-3 days. I immediately got a message saying what's up with 23 days to ship and he found the jacket $5 cheaper (shipping not included so he really saved a buck fifity) and I could keep my overpriced stuff. I'm not a store, just selling collector to collector and just wish some people would be a little more courteous when wanting to buy from me. If you don't want to buy, fine, no need to bash me! And it was a damn typo too!
