There is no way that will ever get passed. But just the fact that it's a *possibility* is insane. My aunt said it best when making a comment about the idiocy of old men politicians deciding the fate of women and pregnancy... if men had to carry the babies, birth control and abortion would be a right written into the constitution and we wouldn't even be having this discussion! :lol

This is crazy. I understand why some people are against the morning after pill, but regular birth control pills? Wow.

Touché Dusty, touché. :lecture :lol

I also strongly doubt that this will pass but I did think it was interesting news. Seems like we are moving backwards here in the Sunshine state.

You always have the rich criminals down in the keys to chill with Rory if you get sick of it. :lol

Well this is Florida. We get to vote for our amendments. If they get enough signatures, it will be on the next viable 2010 ballot.

During the Nov 2008 elections when amendments were last on the ballot, 60.25% of Orange county voters said YES to the Florida Marriage Protection Amendment (which added specific text to the state constitution supporting male/female marriage). This same amendment did pass for all of Florida.

So we have that. :p

I really really hate people. The one shinning glory of Florida is Disney World and because of the horrible weather, I wanted to go home in 2 days.

Yes because those 60.25% have the right to interfere in peoples lives and tell them what is right or wrong for their own well being.:lol Guess I shouldn't get started so I will leave it at that. :peace

Don't worry Darth Caedus, we'll have Harry Potter soon too!

BadMoon, it's nice the people of Florida can decide how we want our state to run but it's worse in that yes, Florida is full of the stupid and the sheeple WHO DO VOTE! :-/ Scarier to me is that if this goes to ballot in 2010, it will be a lesser known election point. Not as many people will go out as they did for 2008 due to the Presidential bid.

But I will vote and remain hopeful the stupid will be out less too. :-D

Ugh, don't remind me. Seems like all the amendments pass because people are too stupid to not vote when they don't know anything about it. Remember the pregnant pig amendment a few years ago?

Even so, I like Florida, I can't imagine living anywhere else. I certainly have no desire to.

And yeah, Disney World :rock

this is for all types of birth control pills, not just the disgusting morning after regretters pill?
