Congrats boys, I really think we have elevated the SW section these past two days. The is the most I've spent in the SW section in a long time.

That Jesus crap almost had me closing the link thinking you were pulling a fast one. :lol

Pretty awesome room. At first look, I thought his entire collection consisted of the Ewok tape and the Jesus figure.

Yeah, kind of a random intro to his awesome SW room. :lol

That is a great collection. Not a single turd prequel figure in the whole collection. He really needs to expand his Kubrick collection, though.

Re: (FLOSI'S Cantina) aka Where the "cool guys" of the Star Wars forum hangout...

Now this is a good Star Wars thread!

I always wanted that McQuarrie Empire Portfolio that Batty posted, but when I was a kid and saw it in Bantha Tracks, I didn't really get what an advance art portfolio was - I knew it was cool and I was already fascinated with McQuarrie's work, but at five years old some of those things remained unknown to me.

I do still have my old Bantha Tracks t-shirt though ...

Now I'm tempted to follow Batty's lead and post a few shots of some of my old Fan Club and vintage items ...

Re: (FLOSI'S Cantina) The COOL guy(s) of the Star Wars forum thread...

those behind the scenes pics were awesome. makes you wonder though if lucas had the foresight then to have an ace photog document the film making process of all his movies. im sure he did and has tons of on site & personal photos that will never see the light of day.

I honestly think they didn't, and Gary Kurtz took the pics himself. He's a photographer and shot a lot that are now finally seeing the light of day. Star Wars had the worst behind the scenes pics. Most of them thought they were making a flop and didn't take any. For ESB Kurtz took a bunch again but they were still worried they were making a flop. Amazing when you think of it.

More pics anyone?

Re: (FLOSI'S Cantina) aka Where the "cool guys" of the Star Wars forum hangout...

Given the global phenomenon that was Star Wars, how could anybody even think ESB would be a flop? :cuckoo:

Re: (FLOSI'S Cantina) aka Where the "cool guys" of the Star Wars forum hangout...

Hard to believe. When you read the Making of ESB, they talk a lot back then about how sequels usually flop (back then) and how nervous they were. I guess that made them work harder to make a great film. The end result speaks volumes!

Re: (FLOSI'S Cantina) aka Where the "cool guys" of the Star Wars forum hangout...

I made sure to take care of all of my things when I was a kid. I really was weird back then. Actually, I still am. :lol

And I've had some of this stuff for almost 35 years... I doubt I'll be getting rid of any of it anytime soon. With all the thousands and thousands of dollars I've spent over years and years of collecting, it's what I collected back in the 70s and 80s that means the most to me.

I still haven't opened "the box" yet.

:panic: Batty, this stuff just blows me away, and all in such immaculate condition. Do you know the value of these things?

Re: (FLOSI'S Cantina) aka Where the "cool guys" of the Star Wars forum hangout...

why dont you just make one flosarita?........im sure it wouldnt be too hard to do. get some precut stuff (maybe at a craft store) and glue it together.

I could I guess, but I really want it to look super clean... what's the best way to cut that stuff?

Re: (FLOSI'S Cantina) aka Where the "cool guys" of the Star Wars forum hangout...

well, if it's in big sheets it comes with a peel away covering and i think it can be cut with a table saw. i know lowes can cut that stuff. maybe it would be easier just to buy it.......:dunno

damn i'm helpful huh?........:lol
