Re: (FLOSI'S Cantina) aka Where the "cool guys" of the Star Wars forum hangout...

:panic: Batty, this stuff just blows me away, and all in such immaculate condition. Do you know the value of these things?

I've never been interested in selling, so I have no idea. Except for maybe the McQuarrie portfolio (I have no idea how many were made), I don't think any of this is rare. But I'm also not sure how many people kept theirs in good condition.

So, I opened the fan club box last night. I have many photos to take when I get home later. :lol I forgot just how much was in there.

And I hope you guys post some pics of your old school collection. I don't want to be the only one.

You're laughing because you know it to be true. Where are the damn SW smilies? DAVE!!!

We just need to steal them from the interwebz.

Batty, I clearly remember those Empire Strikes back and Star Wars books that were ordered via school. I still vividly remember the day I got my ESB book and walking home from school took hours because I kept stopping to look at it. :lol

Did anyone else love how the opening pages had a cast list and each movie reflected the growth in the characters.

I don't remember getting those through school... but I do remember getting these:

Mine were worn out, eaten by dogs, and thrown away by cold parents long before puberty. :monkey2

Back in 1978, a friend and I wrote and drew a comic called Star Wars II. I think that might be in a box somewhere.

I'll try to find a few I did around 20 years ago... I may not have been a "kid" but they are still somewhat old.

I know we have a copy of the Dynamite magazine on the right, but there was this other magazine my mom had which showed the cast out of character on the cover, but I recall everyone was looking creepily at Carrie Fisher.

I love seeing the old Kenner stuff. It also makes me a little sad inside. :lol

Re: (FLOSI'S Cantina) aka Where the "cool guys" of the Star Wars forum hangout...

They were a lot of fun to collection... some of the prices are a bit painful, but with the cost of HT figures even Yak Face can feel affordable :lol

Well, here's my little collection, started back in February of this year so I still need 20 more, it's been a lot of fun to put together. Many thanks to GB, Nick, Waller and everyone else for helping me get started.

You've done a great job so far Rich, and the collection looks good too. :duff Also it is taking every fiber of my being not to make a joke about that basketball hoop.

Don't do it Rich, he's yellowed.
