Re: (FLOSI'S Cantina) aka Where the "cool guys" of the Star Wars forum hangout...

Nah, I'm not even in the market for carded figures... And I honestly didn't look that closely.

Re: (FLOSI'S Cantina) aka Where the "cool guys" of the Star Wars forum hangout...

Well I have these posted in the vintage collectibles thread... but might as well add them here. My Kenner collection :rock

(And don't worry, I've since replaced the super faded Max Rebo :lol)

These aren't currently on display, but I also have some of the Micro Collection:

I still think the Micros are damn cool, J... Did you end up selling them yet?

Oh, and I love your collection. :D Obviously.

Re: (FLOSI'S Cantina) aka Where the "cool guys" of the Star Wars forum hangout...

I go back and forth on the Micros... I'm at least keeping the Falcon (not pictured) but not 100% sure on the rest.

Re: (FLOSI'S Cantina) aka Where the "cool guys" of the Star Wars forum hangout...

The Falcon is the toughest set. I have the Wampa cave.

Here's the extent of my Star Wars collection. Like I said, not much vintage (in fact, no vintage on display):

Kubricks are like crack I bet... You buy them in little unmarked boxes, right? Like baseball cards in away?

Re: (FLOSI'S Cantina) aka Where the "cool guys" of the Star Wars forum hangout...

No, they're more like cocaine. More expensive. Priced me outta the park, so awesome though. Medicom/Kubrick team really loves Kenner. Like...a lot.

In my box of Star Wars fan club collection I also found a bunch of newspaper clippings I saved! :lol

I thought it was cool that I still have this from way back when.

Holy crap! Two theaters!!! :panic:

I like how Carrie Fisher's name is under the picture of Ford. :lol

Haha, I love that kind of stuff. I wish I was a kid when they came out.

LEGO > Kubrick.
Bah. Cool 400%ers in your collection, though. I eventually want to get Alien in that scale.

Yeah, they've referenced the old toys in color schemes, accessories, and even card art.

Tony the Tiger too? :lol
They actually did 2 series of cereal characters, some more obscure than others (they had a couple Tony variants), and they did a separate release of Frankenberry, Count Chocula, and the Booberry ghost

Damn. Now that's a very cool, unique thing to have kept as a kid. I was born in '80, so I wasn't old enough to hold onto those kinds of things, but I do think my parents still have the kid's book + audio tape for Star Wars. I should probably try to track that down when I visit them. . .

I think that's why Star Wars is so special to me. You can have people piss and moan about Lucas and his ridiculous changes, but I'd rather remember what it was like to be a kid living and breathing Star Wars. I don't want to be some old bitter guy who sits at his computer shaking his fist at Lucas about things he can't change. :lol
