True, there are positives to instant communication.
I'm definately not one that feels the internet killed my movie going experience, if i'm not stong enough to avoid spoilers then the shame is on me.
That being said, as much torture as it was waiting for movies that you caught a glimpse of from starlog and famous monsters magazine, it was awesome seeing them 99% unspoiled.
If anything I think that I easily give into the spoilers now because of having grown up w/o them.
It's funny, I now sometimes wish it was like the days before the internet yet as a kid/young adult it sucked not knowing.
Actually, I don't really remember if it even bothered me as a kid, I kinda just went with the flow.
It really is crazy how differently we approach media from 20-30 years ago. Everything is generally right at our fingertips whereas back in the day it took a lot of work to find any information on upcoming films and even then it was spotty at best.
Honestly the internet has taken quite a bit of fun out of new movies. I prefer going into a movie cold and experiencing it like I did when I was younger.
Although on the upside the inernetz did protect me from buying George's latest ass raping of the OT
