re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I didn't hear about any amazing sales for comic/collectible stores. Didn't dawn on me until today to even check. :(

There aren't too many, but there are a few deals to be had out there.

I honestly didn't know about it until a friend told me.

Great picture but what's with Vader's brown robes?

One place has the Sideshow Joker 1:6 for $150. I'm tempted, but shipping was something like $18, so it wasn't that great of a deal.

In the Infinities story Leia convinces Vader to turn good before the Emperor kills him. We might see something similar in Abrams trilogy. ;)

Ooh ok, cool concept. So basically that story line takes place instead of ROTJ?

Jesus Christ!

I can never understand buying that many games. I only keep 1-2 at a time then when I beat it or get bored I'll sell it and get a new game.

Other than some Blus, I ordered the Scout Trooper/Ewok maquette from Entertainment Earth's BF sale.

The way I look at it, I don't buy games when they come out for $60... I always have a game to play, so I can later buy 6 games for $60. I get all the games I'm interested in playing at a fraction of the cost.
I also keep all my games/collect them. I like to revisit them from time to time.
The most expensive game on that list was $34, and that was GTAV which I may return. 4 games were $15 (Far Cry 3, Tomb Raider, COD MW3, & Walking Dead) The last two I might return.
The rest were all $10 or less... Mass Effect 2 was $8, Inversion I found on clearance for $2, and Darkvoid was on clearance for $3.

So basically, I got all those games for the same price as it would've cost me to buy 4 games when they were first released. :)

The golden Hot Toys Iron Man that goes up on Monday is going to be $300. Looks like Sideshow sent one to Darklord Dave to review.

At first I didn't know what you were talking about, but then I got it. I must be tired. :lol

Seriously though, it was this Gentle Giant animated statue. She was only like $45 or something. Sorry I missed her.

Damn. I totally forgot to look at EE's BF deals. They have pretty much nothing Star Wars in the sale now. I guess the good stuff sold out.

A local comic shop had 25% off everything today. I picked up 3 Star TREK items (GASP!) Yeah, I go both ways every now and then. They are cool metal starships, similar to the De Agostini Star Wars ones.

I'm the same way, although I don't buy a huge haul like that at once. I typically buy mine when Target clearances them for under 10 bucks. i recently got a few for 6 bucks, including Resident Evil 6. If that one is multi-player, I'll play it with you! I haven't opened it yet. I have to check...

I was tempted to get the 18" Neca Captain America for $50, but I don't want to really get into that series. 18" Pacific Rim figures make sense to me, but I think my Hot Toys will suffice as far as Avengers are concerned.
