My Nana that passed in July had Alzhimers... it was awful. My Nano on my father's side had Parkinson's. That was no picnic either. :(
This thread is kinda depressing today. I'm sorry for your loss... And I can't describe how I feel regarding Madcow and Waller's posts. Losing a parent at such a young age should never happen. I couldn't imagine going through anything like that. My Dad had a cancer scare, but he's still kicking. My Uncle died of aids when I was like 12, before modern medicine existed to help treat it. Otherwise, I guess my family has been fairly lucky.

I was there during the last hours of my grandma's life. She was in a lot of pain and wasn't coherent. When I held her hand, tears started flowing from her eyes. As you can imagine, I couldn't keep my composure at that point and everything started to flash before my eyes. Moments and memories I shared with that had been long forgotten suddenly came rushing back and hit me like a ton of bricks.

I really miss her and wish she could have gone in a more peaceful way.

Aw man, I hadn't gotten to your post yet. I'm sorry to hear she died in pain. That's the worst way to go. Everyone should at least die peacefully... I never witnessed anyone die in person, and cant imagine how I would react if I did. It takes a lot to get me to cry. There are a few movies that do it. I tend to keep my emotions bottled up...

It happens. Been through two open heart surgeries and a heart attack with my pop. Makes you appreciate the time together even more.

I think we had some great posts in here today. While depressing, it made me feel closer to all my brothers. Like fury said, we're all family in here. :1-1:

I always liked her. She's not hot by any means, but very cute... She's married to the Human Target guy. Or maybe they got divorced, I forget. But he doesn't seem like her type...

Am I the only one watching Sound of Music right now? I wasn't planning on it, but it just kinda happened. It helps to picture Carrie Underwood nekked! :lecture
