Getting time to go to Sydney during term time is tricky, but I coooooould make it a class field trip for my students. I don't think it's a fully-fledged Celebration event though, but there'll be some cool personalities there

Yep, Canberra, bit over two hours drive south-west from Sydney. It's why I'm always clocking off just as most folks on this forum are clocking on, it's quarter past midnight on a Tuesday here.

Oh cool. I'm kinda part Australian. My Mom and Aunt were both born in Melbourne. They left for America when they were young. I've always wanted to go there.

It'd be worth it for Brian Muir alone. There will be some students keen for sure (it's an animation course, so plenty of nerds) - I only have to convince the others to shell out their noodle money for it

Melbourne is a great place. Because it has dodgy weather by Australian standards, and dodgy beaches - by Australian standards - it had to develop a good art and food culture. I've always wanted to live there at least for a while, but so far that hasn't happened. My best mate is in Melbourne, he's trying to get me to move.

Wanted to post an WIP of the awesome Dracula Kit I got from Madcow for the gift exchange... this guys pretty challenging, but its been fun so far. Still a decent amount of work, but I'm in the home stretch:

Yeah, roughly like this only in pieces.

Yep, just grey vinyl and then you have to cut away the excess on the pieces, glue and blend the joints together. I pretty happy with the job I did hiding them, but could have done a slightly better job on the arms. Still for a first go at one of these I'm pretty pleased with the result.

And I have to say, Horizon really knew what they were doing. I'm pretty impressed by overall sculpture and fine detail they were able to put into this. Very impressive considering it's around 20 years old.


BTW, at first I thought your signature was making a joke mimicking the pose of Dracula
