I took a sick day today. Cough, cough. :wink1:
:lol Nice... I need to do that sometime soon... I need a break.

Thanks jkno! You pushed me over with 19 more points. So this is how it works? 0-100 is one green rancher? I have 409 with five ranchers.

Anyone pushing 500 points?
Congrats!
Oh. Josh already has six... :(
Lucky bastard! :lol
I'm at 472 and I have 5, so I don't really understand how it works.
You're crushing me! I'm at 471. :)
What is your rep power Waller? Mine says 50, so I think that means every positive I give is worth 50 points and negatives is -25.
My rep power is 43.
I'm at 50.
Oh man! You guys need to give me some candy!!! :panic::panic::panic:

So speaking of calling in sick, one of my co-workers called in sick today. I work in Support, like Waller. On Friday, this dude pushed the callback date on ALL of his tickets to Tuesday. This guys obviously knew he wasn't coming in on Monday. No way is he really sick... If you're gonna call in sick, you can't do stupid crap like that.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Found out I am losing my job today. How? By finding the listing for my position online.

My boss has been antagonizing me for months. To the point where I had to go to her boss, who assured me she has a problem with everyone. He described her as bipolar and "she hates men." He asked me to please stick it out, that it would get better. I walked into the same guy's office today with the job listing on my phone and asked if he wanted to tell me anything. He looked at it and told me they were replacing me. Essentially because my boss and I had an argument wherein, she claims, I said I didn't care about my job (I didn't say that, I said I didn't care about the very small contribution she made to my workload by putting stickers on some files).

I'm so torn right now. I'm in a spot (though we are not out in the street by any means....my wife makes the real money) but at the same time, tremendously relieved that it's over. I've spent the last year going in early, staying late, and working through lunches to get an unrealistic amount of work done each day. I'm just nervous because it took a very long time to find this job and I can;t afford to have that happen again.

Anyhoo, sorry for the sob story. Heck of a day!

Sorry to hear that, Thom. Your bosses sound like a couple of a-holes, though. Maybe this'll end up being a blessing in disguise and you'll find something better.

Love it! :rock

She presented on the Golden Globes last night, and they showed her on the red carpet as well. She looked ok, but she wasn't wearing anything revealing. I was highly disappointed!

OMG.... I'm sitting here slack jawed, Thom. I'm really, really sorry. Have you made any contacts in your industry? This sounds like an unlawful termination to me. Damn, that pisses me off!!
