Not caught up. But just compiled some Post It doodles into a collage for my DeviantArt account and thought I'd share.

I miss that thread! And having time to contribute to it (though now that I'm unemployed again.....).

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

How did you get to meet her? She was signing autographs under the sails, or at a booth, or you just ran into her, or you broke into her hotel room?

I met Julie Benz when she was signing autos at the Entertainment Earth booth. I met Evangeline when I was working my shift (for TORn) at the Weta booth last year and she was there to sign copies of the children's book she wrote. I also met and have I think still hayden panettiere auto from the same comic-con when I met Julie Benz. That may have been the same comic-con that I met and got a pic with the chick who play aayla secura.

Ken, let me know if you have any of the last 17 I need when you got through your vintage.

Tusks are what people call the little silver things that protrude from the bottom corners of the triangle vent on Vader's face.

And cats are NOT easier to screw. :nono:

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

You guys make me wish I actually had some kind of talent.

Bad ***, Thom!! :rock

Thanks, dude! That thread is close to my heart. You and I are all blah blah blah with the artwork but I miss seeing stuff from the quieter (dangerous) people like Galactiboy. :p

Interview went pretty well today. Drinking a Captain Lawrence Frost Monster Stout to celebrate. **** it, it's beer o'clock somewhere. AND I finally found a Black Series Boba Fett at Target on my way home! :rock

Thanks, and yes! I enjoyed sending them out to folks with their prints.

I'm always impressed with your ability to deflect silly pot stirring from some of our more vociferous d-bags around the board. That's a talent I don't possess. That's why I stay in here, where it's safe! :lol

That's taken I would say the entire decade I've been here to get good at. :lol

I believe it! :lol

Just seems like it was....maybe not less vicious, but at least on a smaller scale back in the old Medicom vs. Sideshow days. Now it feels like there is an entire culture of "collectors" (do they really buy these products?) whose sole purpose is to zero in on a flaw for every announcement and make sure it becomes a catch phrase.

Then again, we are getting older. :lol Gotta shake our canes at the young 'uns.

I'm looking forward to getting my Kenner figures displayed. I still need to buy some stands and risers.

Nice I can't wait to see your complete vintage set up.

I've got a nice mint, unused Sears Cantina backdrop that I want to display like the box art. I need to get an extra Greedo, Hammerhead and Walrusman to go with my Blue Snaggletooth.

SearsCantinaSet.jpg

I like those back drops. If I ever get the chance to display everything I'd like to at least get the Cantina one.

I may have extras... I'm going through my vintage this weekend, in preparation for selling extras at the upcoming collector show...

After you take care of Waller's and Flosi's needs, let me know what vintage figures and loose weapons you have. I need quite a few.

Thom, I rudely forgot to let you know that I got that Wicket post it and, Dude, it's AMAZING. You are truly talented. Thank you so much.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I was looking at Star Wars light switch covers on eBay just for the heck of it. This would be funny due to the placement of where the switch would be sticking out. :lol

Okay, my faves... I love your Han sketches. You really capture Harrison's look in such a cartoonish looking way with these. LOVE.

Bossk, Mouse Droid, IG-88, Probe Droid, Wicket... Brilliant. I love them. :clap

Very nice! When that set comes out I will keep an eye out on ebay for one.

Ya know its funny that back then that seemed like it was such trolling going on. I'd say that was tame compared to some of the stupidness we see today. Its just constant but that's probably because we have so many members now. I agree that folks look for flaws so they can rail against them or it becomes "How dare you like something!".

That we are. I think board years are like dog years. I've been here since December of 2003 when we were on Ezboard and the evolution of this place is crazy as is the types of collectors that have come and gone.

I sketched the same Leia recently. Love that pic, and amazingly done on a teensey sketch card! :rock :clap

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

If you have nice, complete aliens with weapons, let me know. :)
I should have several. But it may take me a while to match up weapons to figures. Anyone know of a good website to reference for this? I'm sure several have the information, but whichever one would be the quickest and easiest to use is what I want...

That does it, Thom! You really really really need to follow in FLOSI's shoes and contact Topps!!! Those could each be cards!!! Awesome work!

I met Julie Benz when she was signing autos at the Entertainment Earth booth. I met Evangeline when I was working my shift (for TORn) at the Weta booth last year and she was there to sign copies of the children's book she wrote. I didn't know Weta even had a booth at SDCC anymore! I'm very jealous of that. I wonder what other companies need volunteers. That could be fun...

As for the last 17, :rotfl. You betcha! I don't even own any for myself. Well, I think I have a Romba carded. But that's it...
As for cats, I assume you speak from experience?
As for tusks, that is what I suspected, but in one of your prior posts you mentioned broken tusks on Anakin's head:
Tusks on the main sculpt and Anakin head are arriving broken.
That confused me. Why would Anakin have tusks?

Who is the person that A) has this idea and B) can get hot girls to act it out on camera? Because that guy should get a high five every time he walks out his front door.
The R2 girl on the right has awesome tats. And nice tattoos, too. :lol Great R2!

Nice! How many have you done so far? And how long do you spend on each card?

They have pics of each figure loose with the right accessories.

Carded Romba?! Oooooh... :D
