I definitely agree that ROTJ is the worst affected of the OT. ESB is largely the same and ANH has some awful changes but is still largely watchable.

But "Jedi Rocks", Vader's Nooooo and Hayden-ghost all make me see red.

Eh, I guess it was nice to see Vader's saber properly lit as he walked toward the blast doors after killing Ben.

The extra Biggs scene wasn't too bad because it was vintage 70's footage without a bunch of CG crap super-imposed all over it.

I don't mind any OT changes but:

1) Jabba in ANH
2) Jedi rocks
3) sarlacc pit
4) Stupid victory song

I would list the RotJ "Noooo" but it doesn't bug me so much anymore. It is a shame but it doesn't make me cringe as much as the above.

ANH has a lot of stuff I don't like, all of which happens in Mos Eisley. The revisions in the arrival (rontos and jawas), in the cantina aliens, Greedo getting a shot off, Jabba and Boba Fett being there at all.

I think that's it. I haven't seen that version in a long time.

Having just watched it last week, I agree with all of this plus the new Old Ben krayt dragon and ridiculous R2 magic rock. All the extra CGI Dewbacks aren't needed either.

Magic rock???

Mos Eisley was one of the most amazing parts of the whole movie. The atmosphere made for a perfect backwater spaceport. Between humans, droids, jawas and the hundred other species of alien, it was surreal, dangerous, and fascinating. Why he replaced the droid crossing the street with one of those stupid lizards is beyond me. I can understand him wanting cutesy crap like the womprats and jawas fighting with the ronto in the initial scene, even if I don't like it. But the ronto that crosses in front of the landspeeder seemed like it was only there to replace the orange R5 unit. Lame.

I've only watched TPM on Bluray so far in the set, but 'Jedi Rocks' is still the only change that I can not stand.

And my 6 year old nephew enjoyed TPM quite a bit.

But I agree some changes are alright, but none feel 100% necessary to me. I had hoped when the SE was being talked about that we would see effects cleaned up (like the matte boxes) and well done additions.

However instead some really terrible things were added or changed and some of the easy/necessary fixes went undone... even into the BluRay release.

The whole SE process has just been a giant cluster____ and I'll be happy when Lucas is done with them

R2 is now hiding behind a rock during the Obi-Wan scene... and then it disappears (I couldn't find an actual video of it).
