I returned my impostor joker-I was not impressed.
The sculpts solid but the paintwork was ass.
Got the artisan on order so I’m hoping they are taking their time to fix it/but this is hot toys…..
I’m in the middle of the road on that sculpt. It’s not bad but not very good either. It’s ok 👍🏼

Suprises me some of you arent impressed by the paint. Dont have him in hand but in video's the head looks very well done paintwise. I have the purple coat Artisan on order and i think this whole imposter version was indeed a sort of prototype release to see how it goes, couse it came out of nowhere and did release before the purple coat one

The face paint just looks too factory manufactured. Doesn’t look natural at all. Very much needs that “hand painted” look, which it currently lacks. It’s almost like they used the exact same painting method that they used on the DX11.

It's machine painted and if they're going for rooted hair being the only "artsian" about these figures the line will fail. For example Anakin apparently is a complete rehash save the head. Early releases will have hype but if it's only rooted hair and limited to boot and not an overall quality lift it will fizzle out fast.

Ah alright its not as smeared as inart but i do like the sharpness. I imagine it takes away some realism. For the hair i think rooted hair always increase realism big time over sculpted.

Exactly this. It was very underwhelming in hand, you can see it’s a good sculpt and it’s just properly lazy painting-it’s a waste of a great sculpt. The hairs good, better out the box than my inart joker but the paint apps just killed it. I was lucky enough that sideshow accepted my request for a full return because I wasn’t happy with it.

Absolutely destroys the Inart version, but it was just a custom sculpt bought so...
I have to say I planned on having these both displayed together, one with the grende rig and the other holding a knife + joker card, but I'm not sure anymore as I think this will "outshine" the InArt.
I'll see when I have them both in hand, but I agree I think this objectively looks better than the InArt sculpt.

Better than the proto but the hair is way way too thick - ledger had very noticeably thinning hair
They’ve given this guy hair of guy from a shampoo commercial

I like the improvement to the shirt collar and coat though, but overall clothing on him feels too bulky still
