I threw in a bunch of Zen references instead, and they were all like WTF? Only my prof got me. But I had a great time. I primed myself with a big Starbucks first and swung by the department chairs office to check on some details of graduation first.

Now, shhhhh, this part is a secret...

He asked me if I was interested in moving for a job when I graduate, and that he had me and one other student in mind for positions at a brand spanking new facility in CA. Now, mind you, it's not in any major metropolitan area, but it's definitely a start. I was looking at going to CA anyway, so for him to be hooking me up with his connections, and for me to be one of the top two choices? He basically made my day!

Needless to say, my presentation went swimmingly!

Now, remember, that's a secret.

Don't laugh... Oroville, I had to look it up on a map. But I do dig the outdoors, and it's not too far from some cities. I would just need to be going home (Las Vegas) for the first year at least, every weekend!

Congrats on the presentation going well, and the potential job offer from the Dept. Chair. Depending on the salary, that may be an offer worth pursuing. I've never heard of Oralville, CA. I see it is in Butt County (seriously!) Doesn't look too far from Sacramento... Well, money talks! Just don't rush into any decision hastily... Spread that resume ALL OVER the place!
