I threw in a bunch of Zen references instead, and they were all like WTF? Only my prof got me. But I had a great time. I primed myself with a big Starbucks first and swung by the department chairs office to check on some details of graduation first.

Now, shhhhh, this part is a secret...

He asked me if I was interested in moving for a job when I graduate, and that he had me and one other student in mind for positions at a brand spanking new facility in CA. Now, mind you, it's not in any major metropolitan area, but it's definitely a start. I was looking at going to CA anyway, so for him to be hooking me up with his connections, and for me to be one of the top two choices? He basically made my day!

Needless to say, my presentation went swimmingly!

Now, remember, that's a secret.

Don't laugh... Oroville, I had to look it up on a map. But I do dig the outdoors, and it's not too far from some cities. I would just need to be going home (Las Vegas) for the first year at least, every weekend!

Oroville?? Holy crap! That's kinda out there... Chico is somewhat close, but that's a far cry from big city living. Even though the metro areas in CA are far more diverse and liberal it can get pretty redneck the further out you go.

Gotta pay my dues sir, and go where others won't, at least in the short term. At least a year. Then I can get into a more "desirable" location.

Eventually, I really wanna treat children. And share my R2 with them!
