re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Holy ****. I just spent almost $400 on vintage Kenner ESB and ROTJ cardbacks. These are all with cut bubbles and many unpunched. Beautiful cardbacks! :drool

I probably made an enemy today since I noticed the same guy bidding on all the same auctions. :lol
I didn't know you collected cardbacks. Somewhere in the many boxes in my basement is a box FULL of vintage cardbacks. BUT, as smart as I was to save them, I was a dumbass and ripped the bubbles off instead of cutting them off cleanly. Plus many have the PoP's cut off. Even worse, I cut the PoP off of my Dagobah Playset box (which I still have). :(
I think the only vintage box I didn't ruin was my Rebel Transport...

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I think the PT is by L8Wrtr... or something similar to that name.
PT? Not sure what that stands for...
I have access to Newsgroups, so I'm downloading the ESB and ROTJ 720p Harmy's right now. Not sure if I'll convert them to BD or not. I do have a BD burner, but I've never converted anything to BD before. I usually just download BD images. Any recommendations for software to convert?

How's it going, Gerald? What do you collect?

My main line it's obviusly SW! I have 1/6 Sideshow and hasbro 3.75" figures and vehicles.

I also collect DX Hot Toys (Sparrow, Luke, Batman Keaton, Joker Nicholson, Batman Bale).

Last but not least Sideshow 1/6 Lord of the Rings figures.

(Sorry, my english is a little rusty)

Your English sounds perfectly fine to me. :wave

I would use txmuxer to put it into a blu ray container, then use imgburn to burn that container to DVD-DL or BD.
I used DVD-DLs since the output is under 8.5gb, and will play in any BD player that accepts AVCHD.

Feel free to PM me with any questions!

Huh? You're nuts!!!

Do you want a couple more? I have a Bespin 3po and skiff lando you can have. cut bubbles.

Yep, I'm nuts alright. :lol

I actually have those two coming. :hi5:

I've got all my old cardbacks, but I tore off the bubbles and cut out the PoPs, too. I've been buying a few nice examples here and there as they come up, but never had this many to buy at once. :1-1:

I knew you'd like that. :D

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Is there a build your own Gonk Droid tutorial out there? That's the droid I want following me around all day.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Gonks tend to be built out of two cheap storage bins, turned onto one another and fastened together. Then probably the dryer tubing, like that used on Kenny R2 units, for the legs. Finished off with various greeblies and such...

He's a secondary droid that I'd actually like to build to accompany my R2 unit. I can see the two of them now, keeping one another company in the corner of my home. One costing over ten grand, and the other a few hundred at most...

Morning wretched hive of scum and villainy. :wave

Up early to go meditate. I've gotta present to the first years today. Yuck. I don't usually enjoy OPs...

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

First years? Do you call them younglings?

I don't know. Maybe I should, and see if anybody gets the reference. Honestly, I interact with than almost not at all. I've been fighting in the outer rim, you see?
