**** Corn. That'd be a great name for a band.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

My band will be called Sharkticon Picnic or Donna Martin Graduate.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I've always wanted to call a band Taint Punch.

Ooh or maybe Duck Butter.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I used to perform a song with the lyric "you can eat the corn out of my ****!"

I think it was by Jack Off Jill, but it mighta been Lords of Acid, but I really think it was the former...

12 of his own movies. He was only in a couple Godzilla movies.

Gamera was made by Daiei Studios and their movies were in direct competition with Toho's Godzilla films. Gamera's never been in a Godzilla movie or vice versa. Godzilla did have a villain named Gabera. He was the red headed monster that picked on Godzilla's son.

Is Mothra a friend? I like Mothra too. He pays me well on the Godzilla slot machine, flying all over the place spreading his moth sex love all over the reels.

Mothra is Godzilla's friend sometimes and his enemy sometimes. They have a roller coaster relationship.

Mothra sucks. But he has two tiny hot Asian slave girls in a birdcage that sing about him. That's kinda pimp.

The fairy girls are carried around in a variety of containers including boxes , birdcages and sometimes they come out of a clamshell. They even fly on a tiny Mothra in one movie. They also have this catchy tune.

sweet! i have no idea about these. The only Godzilla movies I've seen are the Criterion version and the sucky Matthew Broderick version.

You're missing out on some of the greatest ones, Chien. Some of the Japanese Godzilla movies are just fantastic.

I saw one recently where it seemed like Mothra showed up specifically to murder Godzilla. But the continuity in these things is worse than the X-Men movies.

There are three main eras in Godzilla movies. Showa, Heisei, and Millenium. The earlier Showa movies from the 50s through the 70s started out seriously with the original and progressively got more kid friendly and silly as it went on. A reflection of the time, but I enjoy most if the Showa films. The late 80s through the 90s Heisei era was a complete story with continuity throughout. It started with Godzilla 1984 and ended with Godzilla vs. Destroyah. The Millennium series started in 1999 and ended in 2004. Godzilla 2000 through Final Wars. Those movies were set in their own individual continuity from film to film. Some were two parters like Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla/Tokyo SOS and Godzilla 2000/Godzilla vs. Megaguirus.

I thought the girls were in a clamshell...

You're right. Sometimes they were.

Of the Godzilla movies that recently hit Bluray, what's the best? I want to watch a G movie when I get home!
