True. Godzilla vs. Frankenstein was my favorite. Although Godzilla and The Mummy vs. Dracula and the Invisible Man was good, too...

Actually, that's not too far from the truth. Toho made a giant monster movie called Frankenstein Conquers the World and he fights one of Godzilla's friends , Baragon.

Thanks!

I think i will download "Come and get your love" and put it on repeat. That should make the cleaning more entertaining :D

Sounds like a good time to me. I keep listening to it in my car.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

So basically all of them :lol

Exactly. :lol. Keep in mind that all of those on Amazon Prime are English dubbed besides the original Gojira. I usually prefer subtitles, but dubbed can be fun. If I had to recommend one I think I'd go Godzilla vs. Mothra. That's considered one of the best and I really enjoy the vs. movies.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

All of my Godzilla memories feature bad dubbing... so I think that's how I'd watch them. With the exception of the original, since that was a different movie and taken more seriously I prefer it in Japanese. But for the rest, bring on the terrible English dubbing :rock :rock :rock

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I've been watching them all in Japanese just so I could experience them the way they were made. Next time I work my way through the movies, I'll try them in English.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

New midlife crisis. I want to buy a Vespa. :slap

Go ahead and tease. I can take it. :rotfl

I'm gonna try to watched at least the original next week sometime.

That's how I remember them. They used to show a lot of Godzilla movies late Saturday nights when I was a kid, but don't remember ever watching a complete one.

Reading is hard.

Have fun with that.

Yep, TBS used to have marathons and I'd like half watch them while doing other stuff. I always remember liking Godzilla movies and being very excited about them being on. But then the 40 minutes of no monsters would start to wear on me and I'd go do something else :lol

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Remember USA Up All Night. I looked forward to it all week, they ran some great movies! Great like terrible, but great just the same!

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Was that when they'd show the soft core porn w/o any nudity? Can't remember if that was USA, or who... but pretty funny that was a thing :lol

Since we didn't have premium channels I just cranked it to the scrambled stations :lecture

It's about to get Disney crazy at Celebration !

Star Wars Celebration Pin Trading Program
**** no. No, no, no, no, no! Think of all the time and expense in collecting all 45 of those! HELL NO! I will get Yoda, if he is easy enough to obtain. But that's it!

I guess I need to get these sets... although I'm not super excited since they went and made the first one exclusive to people that bought tickets while at SDCC. Pretty crappy move IMO.
Yep, it was a shady move, and a kick in the nuts to anyone who had already bought their tickets before SDCC.

Yeah, that really pisses me off since these are Celebration pins. I looked at some completed auctions and people have been paying between $45 and $80 for the X-Wing Luke. Looks like he won't be in my collection. :lol
Good. Don't give in to the Dark Side!

Wow iPad autocorrect made Vader, badger:lol
I was wondering WTF you were talking about! :lol

That's hilarious! You're quite knowledgeable in the Japanese monster movies. You've taught me a LOT today! I was gonna comment earlier to your post about Godzilla 1984 being the start of one of the eras. Was that released in the US as "Godzilla 1985", and they added Raymond Burr into it?

For those who like the Falcon shirt, here is a different one in the same style. Target.com has a bunch of new shirts which I haven't seen in stores.

:lol

No soft core porn, but there was plenty of gratuitous nudity edited out of the movies. It was a lot of horror and stuff from companies like Troma and Full Moon, B-movies. It was on USA network and had Gilbert Gottfired and Rhonda Shear as host.

For a while, they were showing movies WITH nudity on public stations after midnight on Friday nights. It lasted for about 6 weeks before they stopped due to complaints. This was in the late 80's or early 90's.

I may have to take your lead on this... those are very cool and cute. But the fact they've already ****ed over people who ordered tickets early is infuriating. I'll need to be strong :lecture

Man, my prime jerkin' it years... I do remember A&E showed unedited movies with nudity around that time. There was one called the Green Man, don't remember what it was about but two chicks got down with and rubbed boobs... I could have died and felt my life was fulfilled at that moment :lol

Another show I loved watching was Night Flight. :rock

:lol I'm pretty sure it was the mid to late 80's. I think I was in high school. I remember they showed Bolero and My Tutor. I probably still have the VHS tapes somewhere! I recorded them all. It was on Channel 18 here, which is just a local independent station.
