re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I can't afford to. If I could I would. I will be trying very hard to leave this district at the end of the year.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

You have exquisite taste, Waller. I'm quite partial to the Tonnika sisters' lesbian scene.

That was a pretty awesome scene. I must've gotten bored with most of the movie because I fell asleep before it ended. I must be getting too old for porn. :lol

Oh damn! Rubbing one out to Rhonda Shear was a weekly ritual. It was like a race, seeing if you could finish before the commercial break.

:lol

I think I'd be fun to ride on our country roads out here. My wife said maybe for our anniversary gift this October since we've been married 15 years.

These are the roads a few minutes from me.

Looks nice!

Think I really want to quit teaching right now.

Oh, man. That bad? :(

Think I really want to quit teaching right now.

You're in high school ed aren't you? First time I quit was my public school job, the second time was my private school job. Teenagers... they're just not human beings in the way I understand it. You've got to be a certain kind of person to thrive in and enjoy that environment, and I wasn't cut out for it.

I'll just answer both here below.

It's not the kids. Kids can be ****** but they usually just irritate me some when they do and I move on. My issue right now is the ****ing adults at the board of Ed and my gutless principal who I'm very ticked with. Instead of just realizing the time schedule doesn't work unless you make it ****ed up and possibly play games with something they're supposed to give me. My union lady is on it and trying but I think she's giving them a chance to play nice but I think she's realizing they aren't and I was told you don't want to **** with her.

Here's my schedule for the year as of now.

The school I start my day at I have my first class at 8:15 am. Their day starts at 7:20 so I'm not starting until second hour. They're however not giving me any prep time unless I show up voluntary on my own, which they know I will because of traffic along with the need to be prepared. Then I'll teach third hour and that gets over at 10am. The building I've been assigned to doesn't even start it's day until 9 am. So when my second class at the other building is in my home school is just five minutes into their second hour. They're giving me drive time (they have to) and also mixing in what there calling plan time. Then I teach my first class at my home school, which will house my lunch period. Then I will have what is supposed to be my normal plan period but I expect they'll try to give me another class ending with sixth hour and I leave 55 mins before everyone else at my home school. Now, I realize that sounds like I'm getting a good deal but they're missing my prep time for this new building I'm at for two hours. Plus they're ****ing over my alternative school kids. We lost out high school math, art, careers, and gym teachers for which they did not replace any of them. So our class size is now like tripled, which in that environment is not a good thing. We also now have high school kids who won't be getting computer classes.

For me I'm upset because they haven't been real fair with me within the CBA they agreed to with the teachers union but they're screwing over kids who need every teacher they can get in that school. Probably not making sense and I'm sure it seems like I'm *****ing for no good reason.

No, it doesn't. The regular demands of the job are one thing, you're right... but when forces conspire to make it harder to even respond to the demands of your core business - ie, teaching kids in a meaningful way - that's hard to take. A supportive principal is everything. I was hit with the 'equity' card by one of my principals when I suggested that teaching drugged up and hyperactive kids in an industrial workshop environment was stressful and dangerous and maybe we could come up with an alternative to having these kids in the class. When one of these kids hit another kid in the back with a length of 2x4 while he was operating a bandsaw, and the principal wouldn't back me on this kid's removal from the class, I knew it was time to quit (that was the first time round).

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Night 'tina. I'm exhausted and start at 7 in the morning. :(
Figures you'd go to bed early the day I'm here late... Cuz I'm sick, my sleep schedule is all F'd up. I slept from 7pm to Midnight. I'll be up for a bit, before forcing myself back to sleep again...

I stayed home from work for 2 days. I watched the entire season 2 of Orphan Black (great show!) and the movie The Campaign. Yeah, I know, I should be watching guilty pleasures or favorite films to make me feel better. I opted to see things I hadn't seen before. I'll watch more this weekend, since I'm still ill... I doubt I'm going anywhere tomorrow...

Hmmm, never heard of it. I'll check it out. I wanted Continuum last month, which is great as well. I'd like to watch Defiance, but Netflix doesn't have that one, and I haven't taken the time to download all of those eps. I actually bought Orphan Black cuz they were cheap, and it was worth every penny... The behind the scenes features are totally worth watching! It's amazing how they do those effects, especially when the chick was playing 4 characters in the scene at the same time!

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I remember watching that.

Another show I loved watching was Night Flight. :rock

Ah yes, I remember that too :lol....USA has always had some good fringe programming.

I'm happy to hear it. Hopefully, you'll enjoy it.
I'll let you know what I think as soon as I see it. I hate reading movies though.

I wanked it to a ton of scrambled Spice Channel and Adam and Eve Channel in the nineties. I still remember when I called one of the premium sex phone lines as a kid, 1-900-WET-FART because I thought it was funny. When my mom asked why there was a 900 number on the phone bill, I told her I was calling the Nickelodeon hotline to talk with the Rugrats. I didn't even like that show. I should've at least said I was calling to talk to Doug. What a lame excuse! :rotfl
I'm watching Pacific Rim 3D right now. I might watch Star Wars porn after that. :rock

I see a theme here :lol

Why are you watching for more than a couple minutes at a time anyway? Just get the job done, then go to sleep.
I saw Guardians. The owls were Groot!!!! :)

:lol

Two more days!

Watched it all the time!

Ugh...words :monkey4

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Hmmm, never heard of it. I'll check it out.

Its one of Netflix's original programs. Between Orange is the New Black, House of Cards and Derek, I'd say Netflix stormed onto the scene with some amazing shows. Makes me really hopeful for their Marvel stuff.

Oh God, I'm so dumb. JUST realized your wrote Orphan Black, not Orange is the New Black. :slap

Sometime I amaze even myself :(

Fawking words

:lol I watched Orange is the New Black long ago, once S2 went up. Orphan Black is a BBC America series. I guess it would be considered Sci-Fi. It's about clones. I highly recommend it. One chick plays like 10 different versions of herself... She was nominated for a Golden Globe, but got snubbed by the Emmy's...

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Cool, I'll have to check it out. They have the first season on Amazon Prime.
