Posting from a phone is a pain in the ass. Too many auto corrects and quoting is a pain too. Big cava.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Hercules
Tarzan
The Three Musketeers (Mickey, Donald, Goofy)
Muppets Most Wanted
Bedknobs and Broomsticks
Disneynature Bears
The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad

Still can't order Muppets Most Wanted on Amazon

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

No it's because their directors cut can from a bad print. It's still looking better on blu compared to the DVD. It's just from a substandard print.

If you're gonna watch the theatrical cut don't even bother you'll just be wasting your time.
Wow, it must really be bad. Is it solely because of the soundtrack, or is the DC edited into a better film as well?

I can honestly say I've never seen this film before. I thought maybe I had, but I don't remember any of it...
Going to guardians in a couple hours :rock

Speaking of Disney, just saw this article.

I guess it just applies to new new movies since I ordered the ones on Tuesday from Amazon. :lol

Well I did get the Muppets from Best Buy. Interesting.

Stupid Amazon. Trying to force that lame digital shat on us

Muppets the only one not up for pre-order. All the other Disney titles you ordered have been available since day one.

Did Best Buy get an exclusive?

If you had asked me ac couple weeks ago I would have just pointed to the sound track being the biggest difference, but after I watched them back to back, the DC is FAR superior. There a large number of edits throughout the film. And the Darkness/Lily scenes longer, better edited and more engrossing. Its like night and day. DC is better in every way imaginable, except maybe the picture quality.

I'm interested to see what you think. I can't say I've run into anyone who has seen Legend for the first time as an adult and liked it.

No exclusive that I saw. I just looked in today's ad and saw it coming out this week. It satisfies my day one rule of buying a Blu-ray: Disney!

:lol :lol :lol

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

My state lost the "tax free" part a year ago. I may not renew my prime due to this. I've been finding fewer and fewer bargains on Amazon this year. I can get a free trial around the holidays to curve my black friday needs... As for lower prices? BB and Target will both price match Amazon now, so that is a non-factor now as well...

Damn :( A buddy of mine had the same thing happened and he got rid of prime. If it happens to me I will do the same because the tax and shipping add up fast. That's something to keep in kind. Thank ya :)

My guess for Ken is

Freddy Got Fingered

Although I'm still 5 pages back so I don't know if the contest is over yet or not. :lol

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I'm usually not one for remakes, but I loved Total Recall. I've had the BD for awhile and just now got around to watching it. I had no idea Bryan Cranston was in it.

Kate Beckinsale was hot hot hot as a baddie. :drool

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

So today I learned that you can get a ticket for checking a text message on your phone while stopped dead in traffic.

That sucks. Yesterday I saw a girl texting while going about 70 mph down the highway... steering with her knees, both hands holding the phone texting... she was doing this for over 5 minutes... looking up every 5 seconds or so...

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Yup. Was sitting still in traffic picked up the phone and started to put it down when it moved the slightest and boom got pulled over. No idea on the cost, it's a mandatory court date. We'll see...

They can't really get you on that can they?... how could he prove you were texting? Maybe you were dialing a phone #?... or just checking the time on your phone...

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Legend is clearly an 80's fantasy film. It reminded me of Willow, Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, and Time Bandits all rolled into one. The 80's was a GREAT decade for fantasy flicks. Besides the ones I just named there's Dragonslayer, Baron Munchausen, Ladyhawke, Neverending Story, Princess Bride, and much much more.
Although Jim Henson Productions had nothing to do with Legend, it reminded me of his creature shop, even though there were little people and not puppets. You can't compare the 80's fantasy movies to the special effects-filled movies of today like LOTR. For its time, the effects were awesome! I enjoyed it a lot. I'm now going to watch the theatrical cut, because I feel like comparing them...
I just read that Mia Sara was only 15 when they shot this. It took 3 years to come out due to many production issues... I can tell she looked much older in Ferris Buehler...
Just started the theatrical cut. The opening crawl just annoyed the HELL out of me. They cut part of the awesome opening scene from the DC! That shouldn't have happened... I also learned that Gump was a German kid. They dubbed his voice in the US. I thought he was a good actor, making his voice sound older. NOPE! It wasnt him... This is kinda funny though:
The voice of Gump (David Bennent) was re-dubbed by Alice Playten (Blix). For the German version, the voice of Blix (Alice Playten) was dubbed by David Bennent (Gump), who also voiced himself.
Is that revenge? Dubbing over the person who had dubbed you over in the US?

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

The ticket said "electronic device" so it could relate to anything. I so wanted to be a d-eye-ck to the guy but when it comes to the law I have more to lose than I have to gain.

I believe the cop has to show up to the court date as well... if he doesn't show (which a lot of times they don't) it should get tossed out and you won't owe anything.
